Greens
While the fairways have been sprayed, the greens are in the best shape in ten years. Kudos the maintenance crew.
Course needs a lot of work. Played with some regulars and they said it was going to get redone soon, which it needs. They also said pace of play was abnormally fast. Overall a good round
A Pleasant Surprise
First time playing this course and it is up there with the best of the public courses we have played in the Bay area. The greens especially were well maintained. And despite the proximity to Oakland Airport it was actually quite pleasant and relatively quiet.
It's in Good Shape, Moderate Difficulty
Hope you like kikuyu grass. Soft greens and somewhat wide fairways. Long par 3's & short par 5's. First four holes start you off nice and easy and last four holes finish nice and easy
Shame on you
I love this place..played it lots of times..good course,
usually a good value.
BUT our tee time was right after a four person best ball tourney..
Five and a half hour
round..back up at every tee...
Not fair...
I realize that tourments pay the biils , but treat the golfer honestly.
Don't offer B.S. tee tines to the people who support you
Great Day To Play
This course gives an avid golfer to a beginner several options to learn the game, have fun and enjoy the game. They have a beautiful range with a large variety of distance markers. The course itself is bumpy on the drive but thats the only minor complaint lol. Ok the course is well cut and the greens are emaculate. I spent 5 hours there myself....
Second best round ever
Loved this course the staff were nice and paired me up with an awesome couple and another gentleman they were all great with really good energy. The course was fun the layout could be a bit confusing for a first timer. Being that there were no directions in hole -to-hole accommodations. The driving range was really nice with music and a laid back feel. Even some ducks joined me at the putting green (they weren't the best putters) so that also made me feel very comfortable. Will play again. The pace of play on the last 4 holes was a bit slow but I still over it there!
Big golf complex - two full 18-hole courses (1 course was under construction), one 9-hole course, driving range, practice greens.
Pace of play for a Sunday morning is decent/average; just don't expect to have a 3-hour round on a Sunday morning. Got paired up with a 2-some and single player; all four of us never having played the course before. Overall good enough conditions to play in, with 1 or 2 holes playing "cart path only". Greens were in great condition! no surprise bumps or rolls. "Lakes" however looked terrible; murky murky water.
Challenging course if you don't have good consistent distance control in the short-mid irons. Tough attack angles to the greens from 170 yards and out. Most holes are safer to land short than misses long/right/left. Most of the bunkers were firm and not hard packed.
