Bad communication
One of the unfriendliness starters I have ever encountered. My tee time was 5:30 pm, I knew we were off to a rough start when he stated “don’t let me catch you on the first tee at 5:21”
Ok, that’s weird!
The starter never mentioned anything about the course closing at 7:30. There was still light at that time. At 7:45 I was finishing up on the 18th hole.
I had my approach shot left which was about a 100 yards.
The starter met me at my approach shot and started questioning me why I am still playing and that the cart needed to be returned immediately. I told him I was never informed about a course closure or cart return time. That’s a key information he could have told me at the start.
He gave me the option of leaving my ball, return the cart, and finish the whole…or pick my ball up and leave. I chose option 2.
I like Laguna Seca Golf Course, but unfortunately the rude staff have ruined it for me. Plenty of other great courses with friendly staff.
Good luck!
Back again....
I've played the front nine once, some time ago, but this being the first time to play the back nine....and the back nine make this place something special...challenging, elevation changes, well maintained...go..but, don't walk it unless you want 18000+ steps that'll kick your butt....great deal for $50 bucks too...!!..
I'll be back....soon
Course needs some TLC especially some of the cart paths needs to be repaved.
Good experience
Course was in great shape after rain a couple days earlier. However, the bunkers were pretty much unplayable.
value
considering the cost to play this course has a great practice range and very reasonable fees for this location. Bunkers are in poor conditions but the greens are consistent, well maintained but a bit slow. Fairways are average.
Local golf
Real fun played with a couple locals who were very nice . My only problem was the bunkers . Not in very good shape
The greens were slow but course in good shape overall . Had a great time .
