good course.
Surprised to see so many people on Thanksgiving day. Pace was slow. There was also a cart return curfew of 4 pm and with so many people playing, I was only able to get 15 holes in. Starter said Golfnow should have informed us of cart return time limit. But it was still good to get out for the day.
Fun at my daughter
We were reliving the family's history of replaying
Our family’s game and golf course..
So many memories appears at various holes!
Laughing and giggling!!!
A thoroughly enjoyable round
I booked a tee time for a solo through golf now for very early and arrived 30 mins before my tee time as i was hoping for a quick round due to a flight to catch later in the day
The host at the pro shop accomodated me and provided great service to let me get away.
The first is a simple but lovely looking hole that sets the scene for the round and off you go. I got through the 1 group in front quickly who were polite in letting me through and had a laugh with the scottish guy in the hurry!
Greens were in good shap and had some pace to them! Tee boxes were a bit scruffy at times but for me as longs as greens are good on a course thats the key.
Front nine had some interesting doglegs but was a fairly easy enough first half of the track.
Back 9 had some challenging holes as well as a couple of great views off tees. Par 3 12th was a favourite of mine for the course
Par 5 15th is a risk and reward hole - beware first timers of the pond that covers the front of the green which you cant see from the first fairway!
18th is an ok finishing hole - nothing spectacular but plays back up the hill to the club house and around the green is well designed
Overall for the $57 bucks i paid for my early round what a bargain - I would have paid $75-100 and felt it was fair especially after playing alot of other courses in the area.
Nice breakfast burrito and service at the end from friendly staff - 10/10 for them
Laguna Seca Gets the Scottish seal of approval!
Great course
10/29/24, It’s been around 25 years since I’ve played this course, I’m old now, 76 and started playing golf again with my son who’s 50, it’s a great place to play, the whole course is in magnificent condition, the greens were fast and consistent, couldn’t have asked for a better place to play and I’m definitely going back there again.
great course
tricky greens but course was in good shape.
Its hilly but fair.
Inept Staff
Checked in early for mid-afternoon round, given cart key, first hole wide open so went to tee box and staff member came running out of pro shop and said two players with pull carts had just arrived and were ahead of us. He pulled us off the tee in order to make us wait and play behind two walking players -an older man and woman with pull carts- for 18 holes. We are fast players and would never have seen them again after teeing off. Very embarrassing and unwarranted. Common sense would decide in favor of a riding cart over two pull carts on a hilly, hard to walk course as other reviewers have noted. We collected our clubs off the riding cart and left. A very sad experience.
Great course
The fairways and greens were in very good shape.
perfect pace of play
Too slow for walking golfer
Not recommended. The course is not suitable for walking but many people walk. Golf course need to not allow it.
Making great golf memories
Had another great golfing adventure @ Laguna Seca. The staff was quick and friendly. The pace of play was great. The greens are slow but if you hit it in the rough, it’ll sit up nice instead of sitting down. I like the old school carts that go a lil faster and doesn’t gps lock you out. If I had a choice between here and Del monte down the road, I would choose Del Monte just cause of the greens, but still a fun track. I shot a 92 with 6 pars for my first time there
