Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa - Oak Marsh

Course was just coming into it's own from winter dormancy. Greens were good but shaggy and slow. Had not been cut recently.

Greens in general are small making the course challenging.

Course is relatively tight requiring some precision shots to keep out of trouble.

Absolutely love this Pete Dye design golf course! Beautiful layout. Challenging when the wind picks up. Sixteen thru Eighteen are as good as it gets even for the Pros.

The greens on the front nine holes, particularly holes 1-7, are in very bad shape. The back nine greens were in average shape. The layout of the back nine is great, especially those holes around the marsh & wetland areas.

Greens were very nice! Bunkers were fantastic! Would like playing here regularly! Staff was very helpful and polite!

Booked on golf now for 180.00 for 2 was quoted as a 300.00 course for 2 the receipt they gave me was 64.00 for 2 when I questioned the price was told that’s how they do it I just pay what golf now quoted me. So what is the price? did we get ripped off on the price. The course was in terrible condition I would have given it zero same for value for my money it would have been a zero it’s just an ok course at 64 for 2 like my receipt said but we paid 180. Fairway grass was sparce to none and other areas damaged with poles around it that if you hit it would stop your roll and punish you. When you pick a golf course In an expensive resort community run by a named company with the prices charged for golf you expect it to be good

Great day at oak marsh. Course was a little wet in places but in great shape. The views are great! The design is deceptively challenging. You think oh... this is an easy par 3 , hit a solid tee shot and the green has slopes that take 3 putts.

I liked the course and will be back! Overall it is a nice dye course that is narrow in places with ob in play on a number of holes but the course as great views. I was doing well till number 8 a beautiful par4 with water winding thru the fairway. The landing area was clear, I should have hit a 3 wood or long iron to land safely with a good angle at the tee but I pushed it with the driver and it leaks right into water and my drop left me with no angle and a live oak tree . Play it safe make par. It was very difficult to recover from a poor tee shot so think.

It had rained the night before and area in front of several greens was soft and you got NO roll so you had to fly it to the green. I am sure in the summer it will play different.

There is a short par 3 on the back nine that is wind dependent with an overhanging oak tree. Another deceptive hole.

The crew at course is very nice and polite, pay attention to their tips.

I played with my wife and she loved it. Red tees for her were friendly and she played well.

It is a resort style course so expect a very well marked course, you will not get confused.

If you are in the area, play oak marsh, it’s fun!

This course has many tight spots flanked by trouble. No place to sneak down an adjacent fairway.

We will continue to play this course as long as we stay here...and will return next year. It is so nice to play on green fairways.

I was looking for an early round on a holiday Monday and found a 7:48 at Oak Marsh at a great price. No one was pair with me so I played as a single in just under 3 hours. Course was in fabulous shape, greens were smooth and fast. Every staff member was friendly and courteous. The starter was chatty and helpful and even let me go off a little early. No cart person, but there was water and ice on the course. Great value for the price and I'll definitely be back.

Very well nteedting layiut. A real natural setting. Greens and fairways in great shape.

Loved this course even more than the first time. Will continue playing this tract as long as I am visiting. Great Reuben sandwich after the round.

There were more people walking their dogs on the course and people trying to find balls in the marshes, than golfers. Super frustration waiting for a dog to do its thing before you can tee off. Happened multiple times. Not something you would expect from a Omni resort course. Homeowners must run the course. Not a very good time.
