Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa - Oak Marsh

Oak Marsh GC was semi-challenging and very pleasant to view. Fairways and greens were on the mark for a resort atmosphere. Place of play was good, no real delays. Range was easy to access and comfortable to use. Beverage cart was always around to offer refreshments, and the on-course bathrooms were clean and accessible.

Just played LGPA in Daytona, so my comparison is somewhat biased as far as course conditions and playability. I joined a group, and I enjoyed their banter and laughter…great times. I would recommend this course to others.

The gold tees are only 6600, but the last three holes are all into the wind with forced carries. The greens were deceptively fast , more so than the practice green but were in excellent condition in late March. The fairways werent narrow but you cant spray the ball either or youll find a lot of strategically located water. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the pace of place for us was a std 4 hour round. I would like to play it again and would recommend it. The womens tees are quite forgiving.

My only issue was on the last two holes where reeds and bushes had grown directly in front of the tee boxes making it unfair to attempt to hit a the necessary low trajectory shot into the wind.

Overall the course was everything you expected from a Pete Dye course. Bunkers, greens and fairways in great shape. Very scenic holes from the back tees.

Course must get a lot of play. Little worn out. Really fun layout

It’s only March and already the fairways and tee boxes are burning out, This is a good Pete Dye layout but due to lack of money, care and proper maintenance the Omni has turned this track into a tremble golf experience.

Ok course, not bad and not spectacular, but pricey. For what it was. Staff friendly and nice amenities

Do not miss the opportunity to play Oak Marsh if you’re visiting north Florida. The course is spectacular, the layout is creative and challenging, and the staff are very welcoming. You will not be disappointed.

Fun all around. Made 3 birds to offset 3 doubles and was 81 from the whites. Stay out of the bunkers though, as they are a stroke penalty. The greens are small and wonderful to play.

This is nice course with beautiful views. It is challenging from all tee boxes. Unfortunately it does not have GHIN rating.

The course was in good condition for the time of the year. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

The course was one of the best I played in Florida during my 5 weeks holiday. I love Peter Dye desing and how the nature is not cleaned too much. The fairways and greens condition were perfect. The course was not too difficult from blue and my wife red, but the wind made it more challenging. Wonderful day.

Expect to lose a lot of golf balls if you aren’t on your A-Game
