Deer Island Country Club

Got there early warmed up on a nice well marked range, ranger let us go off early no one was in front or behind.This course was in the best shape by far than some of the goat farms in central Florida for the same price.The course was in immaculate condition well marked even had the drop zones marked.There was no sandy spots on any fairway.The greens were a little slow but we’ve had a lot of rain but they were smooth and true. It is a lot more challenging than it looks lot of trouble so shot selection is a must. I will be going back often even though I have three courses with in 10 minutes of the house.We had a great day and the staff was friendly.

Great layout In fantastic condition. Very challenging with lots of water and carry. I play the course as often as time allows. Accessible off the OBT and 427.

Always enjoy playing this track! It's one of the most challenging layouts in the area, and it's a must play if you get the chance. It's a beautiful property, great views and plenty of wildlife. The course was in great shape, fairways were perfectly plush. Greens were slower than I like, but they were refreshingly smooth; the ball rolled true.

The staff was incredible. We will definitely be back.

This is a course that I keep coming back to for multiple reasons. The layout is challenging but fair, the staff are friendly, the amenities are solid. The biggest challenge has been the variability of the wind - the course is on an actual island in Lake Dora, so it tends to be quite strong at times. All in all, one of the better courses for the money in the Orlando area!

What is there to say? $20 to play a nice neighborhood course that keeps getting a little better every day. I have been in Winter Park for a year and played every else but WP 18 and WP 9. WP 18 did not disappoint.

Yeah it is short, and there may be a few too many par 3's on the back, but for $20 buck? This is a deal. Everyone was so nice and it is 1.5 from my house. I'll be back with friends.

Drove 55 minutes to play this course in the early AM. The staff was helpful, and check in was easy, but the clubhouse/proshop/bar/snackbar is the same countertop. I thought the course was in really good shape and the layout was challenging with a lot of water. It is an island, so there is a lot of water.

This is one of my all time favorite courses. Great design and would be five times the price if closer to Orlando.

Reviewed this course about 8-9 months ago, wanted to update. A surreal experience the first time and is now played by my group every month sometimes even doubling up here 2 weeks at a time. It’s beautiful 11/10 scenery and design, and is about an 8/10 at all times in conditions, which is really good value for its price. Hard to get to, and a daunting test from the back tees, may not be for every golfer, you will need to prep with extra golf balls at every skill level. Have been seeing some recent reviews referencing marshaling. This course is one of the rare courses that does not shoot for 4 hour pace of play but rather incorporates a “tournament style play every day” with cutoff on tee times around 2 pm and 10 minute starts. Will definitely have 3-4 marshalls on course mid-day and many of the par threes will have signage with 1 shot per player, if that is not your speed, totally understandable
