Love this course and the new greens are fantastic. Still a tough course to score on. I recommend playing here for sure.

Tough track
The course is very undulating and fairly tight, most greens were elevated, for a higher hdcap player like me i found the course plays pretty tough.

Overall a solid course
This course offer a little of everything to challenge a golfer: doglegs, drivable Par4, blind shots, and one or two gimmicky greens.
Fairways are hard & grass is thin on the fairways. The greens are the best asset on this course. Super fast and the ball rolls out like Don Johnson shot down the highway on Tin Cup.😂
If the fairways ever grow in this will be a great course to play.
I really enjoy playing Highlands and is one of my go to courses. .
Reasonably price especially when compared to the highly overpriced Mag Green which I consider it equal in the area

Course hard as rock
The course is hard as rock! How hard? You have to really push hard in the tee box to set the tee; there is no ball mark to repair on the green as there will be no marks; fairway is bald and absolutely no hit down unless you don’t mind hurting your wrists.

Nice track
Very fun track, best greens I’ve played in the area….tee boxes are atrocious though. I’d say a good 45% of them are uneven and just sand and dirt.

Excellent value
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Greens were the feature of the course. Best conditioned greens I’ve seen since Pinehurst! Excellent layout and fun to play. Bunkers were in great condition and fairways were greening up nicely from the winter dormancy. Only knock would be on the tee boxes…they could use some attention.

Still winter conditions but greens are Fast
Let's not kid ourselves of what this winter is so far in Chesterfield County. Mild and a little wet. Sometimes, borderline hot. All Bermuda grass is dormant. The course isn't growing. So the rough is low everywhere, very thin in spots and bare in others. You may find drives in the fairway unrewarding because of the soft thin lie where chunking or skulling is a real possibility. Nothing can be done about this now. Ball can rest on bare lies in the rough. But the real fun is on the greens. Above the hole is treacherous and defensive. It has become a local knowledge course because middle of the green isn't good anymore because of there's alot lot movement. The putting surface is hard. No ball marks. If you find this type of green upsetting, try somewhere else. I like the challenge.
Course conditions earned an average only because of the dormant Bermuda but it's Playable under difficult scoring expectations.
