Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Disappointed

Played at this facility a couple years ago, the course has changed dramatically. Would not pay more than $20 to play a course in this condition. The bones are there for a great facility but clearly in free fall, would not recommend to friends or others for that matter.

Excellent conditions

Golf course is alot different than it's other course on property but as good.Conditions were as good as LPGA.You can tell they pay attention to fertilizing as grass was very green compared to some courses weve played that are thin and brownish. You pay for what you get.Pretty flat compared to el campeon which has alot of elevation changes.Very good test of golf and will definitely return.

Challenging Course… Slow Play

This is a tight challenging golf course. The overall conditions were good and the on course beverage service was timely. If you are playing on the weekend expect at least a 5 hour round.

So glad we played Las Colinas!

My husband and I had a great day at Mission Inn - Las Colinas. I booked the tee time via a Hot Deal on Golf Now and it was worth the hour drive to Howey in the Hills! The clubhouse / pro-shop is beautiful and a beautiful backdrop to the first tee. In general, I would say that the fairways are very narrow -- the further back you play, the more this is true. Our only criticism of the course was the greens -- they were in great shape, rolled pretty true, but were soooooo slowwww!! We were paired with a couple of guys that were really fun to play with -- it was a great day!

Tight!!!

Course was in really nice shape and what you’d expect for a resort type facility. I did not use the range not even sure if they have one. Nice putting green. Tee to green it was great. This course is REALLY tight. Not a place for someone who sprays it off the tee. Play the proper tees the group in front of me was brutal and should have moved up 2 sets of boxes. Miserable day for them.

Great Service. Fun Time

This was our first course playing after getting off the plane, so it was a little tighter than we thought, since we hadn't played for three or four months. But a really nice course and we had a great time. The people that Pro shop were amazing. United airlines messed up our golf clubs and didn't put them on our flights, so we missed our morning tea time, and the guy in the Pro shop was nice enough to let us play in the afternoon to make up for that. We were afraid we'd get charged for the morning but he was great! Super people!!

Excellent Florida Course

Staying in Orlando but wanted a quiet round away from the strip malls and theme parks. Course didn’t disappoint! Helpful staff and well marked course that made visitors feel at home. Would recommend and play again. Great value!!

Tight! NOT a Links, Wide Fairways Course

We just came down from New York, and had not played for 3 months. We thought the course would be pretty wide open, because the description said it was a links course with wider fairways. But each fairway was tree-lined and super tight and they even had a par-3 that had a tree in front of half the green. I'd say a lot of trees need to be trimmed or even taken down. Nice people, pretty smooth greens but not the type of course you want to play if you haven't played for a while.
