Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Great course

This is not my first time playing this course. I always enjoy playing at Mission Inn, The staff is friendly and the course is in good shape all the time.

Tee boxes were slightly in need of repair, But that is due to players not fixing divots. My recommendation for anyone playing either of these courses is to read the greens. What I mean by this is are you going against the grain or with the grain, because that will tell you how you need to putt. Overall, I had a great time playing this course, there was a car girl out and like I said Stock was very friendly. If you get the chance to play here I would definitely recommend it.

Los Colinas

Pick your tees carefully. Mixed white/gold. Would've been better for my group. Whites are what we played. Long par4's are tough. Short par4's challenging. Greens roll fast. Loved it!

Las Colinas

Having played El Campione previously I was looking forward to playing Las Colinas. Glad to say I was not disappointed as it is in no way a second course - every bit as good as each other. Friendly welcome upon arrival and course in great condition. Loved the par 5 12th hole which is a real beauty. Only negatives might be the distances between some holes - though on a lovely day like today it was fine. Will be happy to return for a game at either of the Mission Inn courses and recommend both highly.

Okay

Played Las Colinas… Must be low on staff… course needs a lot of maintenance…. Price is not reflective of course condition.

Fun round at Mission Inn

The only problem was a near 3 hours for second nine due to Florida High School practice rounds, however, it was still a good day!

Relaxed Rounds

We played this course twice in the past few days and enjoyed relaxed rounds with no crowding or rushing. While this course is not up to the level of quality of El Campeon, it is still a good course and is well taken care of. There are some repairs going on, but did not overly affect our play. My wife prefers this course over many others in the area, and yes, she scores very well at Las Colinas. Certainly worth playing!

Decent course

Las Colinas was a good course, not great. Pace of play was very slow. Course needs some work on the tee boxes, greens and fairways. There are better courses in the area.

Way over rated

Nice, but nothing near spectacular, like I've been reading. Drove 100 miles one way, only because it was free, I had promo credits so the round cost me $0. yes and I'm still complaining. . But I call em as I see em. Course was built in 1917 and it looks it. Resort is lovely but looks like it's 1940s and not cheap. The pro shop and restaurants aren't giving anything away. A shirt will cost you $85 in the pro shop and a meal $30. Greens and fairways were nice, cart paths old bumpy and broken up. I play courses all week in Kissimmee that are nicer, and half the price and much more scenic. Royal st cloud, stonegate at solivita, falcons fire, celebration and cypresswood. Don't get me wrong, wasn't that bad, just and old fashioned. Lots of narrow fairways, hanging Spanish moss and daytime shadows. Some holes on the back nine you were hitting over blind hills, couldn't see the greens. Not my kind of course. I'd say very overrated for the $60 range. Just my opinion

SLOW

I agree with others that the pace was exceedingly slow. I think a marshal to prod along the social talks on the fairways would help.
