Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Disappointing greens and fairways

Greens had large patches and were very very slow to try to get grass growing on them. Fairways were exceptionally tight lies with very little grass growing and many bald spots.

Nice layout but very unexpected conditions for January rates. Ok for $25 but not fir three times that. Many nicer courses around.

Dissatisfied

For first of the year top of playing season this course was In very.poor shape. We played el campion day after Thanksgiving giving and conditionins were epic. Thats why we came back out to play my favorite Las colinas. Contrary. Greens were abysmal rolling 7.-5 8 at best. Some greens were under repair while others were just down right fury. They ran the mowers in the morning but didn't drop them down enough to knock off the fluff. Greens should be max stempimg at this time- 10-11- Unacceptable for $70. I have played both of these courses since the 90's driving from Orlando. Blanck bear at $39 was rolling 10.5. Sorry I love you guys but this was below par in the reverse of meaning. I never leave comments but thank you for sending an email to check our experience. We will be back but tighten things up. Pro tip: don't charge for an exceptional experience if you can't deliver....

Did not live up to the billing

Played the Las Colinas course after finding it on Golf Now. After checking out the website, I was pretty excited about playing the course. It was billed as a “must play”. Upon actually getting on the course, we found the conditions to be lacking. The greens were shaggy and spotty. The fairways had issues and the tee boxes on a few holes resembled a wagon trail.

I will say that the staff were absolutely fantastic. Very friendly, professional, and welcoming.

I understand that the other course El Campion is much better but I don’t know if it is the layout or condition.

I recommend you play elsewhere.

Mission inn missing the mark

Pace of play was good considering no rangers out.

Greens ssslllooooowwww have been in better condition. Fairways fine sand traps horrendous

Mission inn emails me every week touting the conditions. All the tournaments that are being played there. Not impressed for such a quality reputation.

I guess we’ll just blame it on covid like everything else.

Greens?

First time playing here during the winter. Greens are fair; not what I would expect for this course given my past experiences. Pace was slow on back 9 on a Monday.

Just very average

There’s nothing overtly horrible about my experience playing Las Colinas today, but there’s also nothing above average. The course was in OK shape ... greens were cut very long and rolled slow. Some fairways had low areas that were absolutely drenched. Some of the holes would be spectacular, if kept properly. Others were nothing special.

Even for $52, I wouldn’t drive more than 20-30 minutes to play this golf course. El Campeon is just a superior golf course in every way.
