Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
About
Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Wonderful day
The only thing missing the restaurant other than that fantastic day of golf
Great Golf Experience
The staff and the course is first rate. A great value!! Only thing missing is the restaurant for after golf drinks and food. That would complete the day.
Great course on a great day!
Played El Campeon on Friday June 19th with 7 buddies as a Fathers Day weekend, then played 18 on El Dorado which is set up with Ececutive tees on Las Colinas. Had a great time doing that and we got a preview of Las Colinas in the process. , we played 18 on the regular tees on Saturday the 20th. Course was in excellent shape! Other than 14 being under repair so it was playing as a par 3 instead of 4. As hot as it was we still had a great time! I highly recommend spending a golf weekend at Mission Inn whenever you can!
Father’s Day
One of my favorite courses in the area. Both courses are fantastic. Greens starting to come in after aeration a few weeks back. Overall in good shape a few of the tees were a bit sparse and 14 is shortened to par three as they reseeded fairway but I’ve always loved the layout and will be back.
What a Steal!
Where do I start? The staff was awesome, the course layout is awesome, pace was awesome, and the observation of COVID-19 prevention (in FL after most all courses have scrapped it) was awesome. The greens still showed a little evidence of sanding and aeration, but still rolled good to us. Got this one on a Hot Deal and they should call Hot Steal at that price! Will be back Hot Deal or not!
Golf Course Maintenance
Very disappointed in course playing condition when played this recently. Found out after teeing off on Las Colinas first at 0630 that greens had been sanded on front nine. While no problem with maintenance workers on course that early, I did have big issue with maintenance workers having left out pins on greens for holes 12-14 & 16-18. Not preferred to play target less golf. I had to put pins back in hole after I had hit up to the green. Golf shop had no answer or plan to prevent this in future, when I mentioned in pro shop after my round. Will now choose to play elsewhere as value as a customer was lessened.. Beware early AM golfers!
Great course
We always wanted to play this course and since it was on GolfNow hot deal after 12:00, we took the opportunity.....only played 9 holes, it would have been late to play 18. We really liked the course...nice wide open, beautiful houses and great course. Only problem there was sand on all the greens so when you hit a nice shot, landed on the green and kept rolling. Will play there again...40 minute ride.
One of the best courses in the Orlando area. Always in great conditions and staff is friendly and very accommodating.
Definitely worth a visit
Not as demanding as the other course but worth going to play. It's a shame one fairway was closed due to repairs - making a long hole a short par three, they didn't tell us about that so do ask
Rained Out Memorial Day
We got to play the front nine of Los Colinas. Beautiful courses, well maintained, greens rolled really good. Mother Nature won the round.
Great layout and challenging.
Always fun to play these courses. Pace of play was a bit slow, but had a great time. Practice putting green was very sandy and bumpy but the greens on the course were much better.
Pace of Play
I’m local and play here often. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Both courses are always in great condition.
The lesson learned for me is to play here during the week. No rangers on the course to keep pace of play. No reason for a 5 hour round.
This is a great place with great people working here. I highly recommend playing at Mission Inn.
Outstanding challenge
This course is with the ride out away from the Orlando metroplex, as it's very different from most courses in the area. Often seen as the second sibling to its brother on the property -- El Campeon -- Las Colinas is still a really good option. The course is challenging, with some terrific holes, especially from the blue tees. Some course knowledge is helpful, as there are a couple of blind tee shots, and a few holes where the strategy is a little more clear once you've played it. Staff is helpful, friendly and glad to see you. Range is ample.
The only negatives are that pace of play is occasionally slow (not a problem during this round, but the course is not well marshaled). And unlike El Campeon, Las Colinas isn't much to look at (though the bridge over the lake at the very difficult 8th is pretty cool).
A definite recommendation here.
A fantastic course!
A truly great track! This was the first time I’ve played this course and I would just stand on several of the tees and enjoy a “wow” moment. Course is in great shape. I only gave 4 stars for course conditions because hole 14 has been taken out of service and converted to a par 3. This was a magnificently hard par 4.
I’ll be back!
Globetrekker
Greens were aerated so in poor condition for now. I know they will get better in a few weeks.
Someone please hold this mans hand. Probably playing as a single. Anyone that complains about this course is not a golfer. Play this course it is a gem.
