Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
About
Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Quick round
Grate pace of play. Had the course to myself. However all should be aware the greens have been aerated and it will probably take five to six weeks for them to cure. Stay away for now.
Aerification alert on the Las Colinas course. it will probably five to six weeks before these greens will be ready for play. Stay away.
Great Day of Golf
Mission Inn does a nice job of scheduling play. The pace was good and the course is well maintained. This is a beautiful course!
Great layout
Last minute booking online, played 1917 design El Campeon and it was fantastic. Hard to believe the elevation changes for Florida. For to five of the holes could easily fit into Olympic Club in San Francisco. As much course as you want from the back tees. Will definitely play again.
Always great time. Course showing a little wear, some greens getting banged up. But still one of the best designs in Fl. Played mid PM, no one else out there
The Pro was not Professional
I’ve been playing and working at golf courses my entire life. I don’t chip on the “putting only” green, I rake my bunkers, fill divots and repair my ball marks and others as well.
I showed up early to my tee time to hit a warm up basket and do some chipping. The pro shop informed me Since I used “ golf now”I couldn’t check in until there was less than a half hour before my tee time. I decided not to purchase a warm up basket due to the price of 8 bucks.
I proceeded, without a cart to the practice facility. It has a small short game area that I was going to practice on. But, Before I even started, the pro came out and asked me if I read the sign. I of course did because I comply with the rules because I don’t want to be “that guy”.
He said that the facility is for paying customers and I responded that the shop wouldn’t let me check in yet. He had me to get on the cart with him and returned me to the clubhouse. He didn’t even communicate with me as to what he would have me do. Very unprofessional to say the least.
I just felt like I was treated like a second class citizen, or that I was trying to be a range bandit.
After the round I mentioned my experience to the chap in the pro shop, and he confirmed my suspicion, that the pro assumed I was heading out to retrieve balls from the range instead of purchasing them.
I’m still going to keep coming back and you should too.
El campeon is one of my top 5 tracks of all time and Los Colinas is an absolute gem.
golf history
if you like golf & history mission inn is the place to go.
it used to be in the boonies but sub divisions are closing in. close to 100 yrs old. a must play
Good course
My buddy and I checked in and asked how the course was, the staff in the pro shop stated that the greens had been punched last week but they were rolling good with the sand. This course is more of a traditional Florida course. White fairways, greens that are protected by sand traps etc.
I rated this course a 4 overall only because of the greens being punched, I feel once they are back to normal this will definitely be a 4 1/2 star course. My buddy and I played the other course last week and thought it was a much better shape. The course definitely is a challenge which I love when playing a course and this was my first time playing this course.
I did like that they had a cart girl out on the course offering the normal stuff especially since it was a hot day. I would recommend this course, and will be back to play it again.
Good layout, no surprises
First time playing Las Colinas, after playing El Campigon several weeks ago. Course was aerated, but this was brought to your attention before booking your tee time. Did not affect the enjoyment of the course, which is mostly a straightforward parkland design that is easy to navigate. Few water hazards come into play ant the fairways are wide and forgiving. Loads of distance to travel between some of the holes, but the surrounding amount of natural terrain makes it a pleasant journey. A good course, but nothing as memorable as the great design of El Campigon. Conditions were fine and the staff was friendly.
Great course but
Great course fabulous layout, practice green fast and fabulous but all other 18 greens can’t put wont hold line why well they are been work on lots of sand and lots of holes, give them 2 or 3 weeks and have fun will return once greens are in better shape, we were a foursome we all agree . Staff outstanding
Beautiful Course but Tough
The tee boxes and fairways were in excellent condition. They were doing seasonal maintenance on the greens. I found the front nine easier than the back nine. The front is a par 35 with the back a par 37 and three very difficult par five holes.
Greens were fantastic, they get it correct here on how a course is supposed to be set up. Maintenance knows what they are doing. Very busy on both courses, but you had a starter who also knows what he is doing. Course is going to be in prime shape by mid May.
Fantastic Greens
In great condition with fantastic greens. The course is very challenging due to the amount of trees and speed and slope of the greens, well worth the money just be prepared for a challenge!
What is greedy is charging for a no show when it’s one player out of 4 I could understand if it was a foursome and 2 people don’t show but when you book a foursome and 1 guy doesn’t show during the current health problem the country is facing and then to charge for the spot regardless that’s pure greed. Especially when there’s not enough golf carts to go around in the first place.
Immaculate conditions
The course was in the best shape I've seen it after playing three other times. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were perfect. Carts were clean and disinfected and staff were kind while maintaining sanitary standards. Pace of play was perfect as we finished in four hours exactly. Got an amazing deal today and I'll definitely be back.
A great course
During these troubled times it is so good to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. The course is in terrific shape, the scenery is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We will be back, and highly recommend the course. You do pay somewhat more, but when you get a hot deal on Golf Now it is definitely worth the price.
Great layout
Course was in vg condition. Layout is varied fair and challenging. Greens were in great condition. Will be back
Thank You!
Thanks for being open and also for being so friendly to your customers! I’m local and love to play both courses whenever I can. Courses are in awesome condition and always a treat to play!!
Fantastic place for a safe ,fun round of golf
The staff at check in are friendly especially in the scary times that’s going on withe the coronavirus.
The starter were fast to accommodate my needs and got me off promptly. The Las Colinas course that I played is challenging but the scenery of the course and the way it is laid out makes it so peaceful. Can’t wait to go back again
Mission Inn has a 24 hour cancellation policy which is clear on our confirmations. We would prefer not, but we have been forced to by golfers no-showing for tee times. We also have a fair rain check policy and would gladly make this offer.
