Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
About
Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Shame about pace of play
This is a top class golf venue. Friendly, professional staff and an excellent course. It's such a shame about the pace of play. We were a twosome so expected hold ups and maybe a 4.5 hour round but nothing could prepare us for what we experienced. Sailed around 8 holes in quick time then ground to a halt big style. Although we started at before 1pm it was 5pm getting to 14th. Terrible. No ranger!! Major problem. One player in the group ahead hit 3 shanks off the tee and appeared to lose 5 balls on one hole. Still sized up put on green. Unbelievable. Unfortunately the group would probably use the argument that 'they couldn't go anywhere because off group' in front of them. In my experience, this is ruining the game. Mission Inn is a superb golf facility but needs to address the problem of slow play. It is the third time in recent weeks I have experienced this problem and it deters me from rebooking and driving 60 mins to get there. I realise that everyone's dollar is important but to allow this situation to continue is not good for the facility.
One of the best
We have been coming to the Kissimmee area for the last five years on holiday to play golf and this is the first time we have played Las Colinas but will be back again one of the best courses my wife and I have played
We are ecstatic that you had such a wonderful round. We hope to see you back soon!

Enjoyable track
Conditions could have been a little better but it was November. Everything else was great.
Thank you for your review, and we hope you will return to show that our conditions have improved as the season goes on.

Great course
We had a great time at this course great condition right Staff All Around love to Play It Again
Terrific course, but...
For the most part, this golf course is well designed, in excellent shape and thoroughly enjoyable to play. It is completely different from its companion course, El Campeon, and not as difficult, although it has some bite. My only criticism of the layout is #14, a sharp dogleg that goes up a hill and then down to the left. The tee shot from the “senior” tees up the hill is somewhat blind in that the distance to the tree line is unclear because of the sharp drop off from the landing plateau that is visible from the tee. Although it is hard to tell, even a three wood is too much for most seniors. The greens are a good speed and roll true. All in all, Las Colinas is a fun golf course to play that lets you use most of the clubs in your bag and I highly recommend it.
Disappointed!!!
After reading so many nice reviews, I was very disappointed in the golf experience
The course was very rough around the edges
The greens were nothing like the putting green which was excellent and fast
There were many bald and thin areas around the course
You can't walk the course because there are great distances between holes
The speed of play was slow and we never saw a ranger
The on course beverage carts were poorly stocked and after being told another cart was on the way we never saw one
The entire resort seems dated
Won't be going back any time soon

Great Layout
Friendly staff at the club house. Everything in great condition. Great Location
The real deal
The course is a tremendous layout with green complexes that will challenge all golfers.
Very nice course
First time playing this course. The course was in very good shape and is very challenging and a beautiful layout. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Nice compliment to the El.Champeon. Would recommend this course to anyone.
This was right after the hurricane
The front nine was in excellent shape. The back nine had just opened and even with some debris around the course was in great shape. This is a tribute to the staff working hard to get players out on the course. Would recommend this course as a number one choice to play.
Don't Overlook the Las Colinas Course at Mission Inn
The Las Colinas Course at Mission Inn Resort may have less name recognition than the El Campeon Course, but it provides a great day of golf. The course meanders through the rolling hills, and requires players to use every club in the bag to navigate it. Ay my mosy receny visiy the course was in excellent condition. The greens had been verticut within the last week, but rolled true. Players can usually find great deals online, and Las Colinas is a great value for the money.
Las Colinas Review
My Las Colinas Review is very positive. I used Golf Now to book two foursomes. We teed of on time at 8:30. The staff was very attentive. This was our first visit and will not be the last, cannot wait to play the sister course. The staff loaded our bags and I went to finished paying. The pro shop staff were very nice and gave us a souvenir. We the hit the putting green. We were not informed about the driving range or we would have hit some balls. We teed off with light rain, but really was no issue. It was better then humid-hot conditions. The light rain disappeared and the conditions were ideal. The course was also ideal, but long, consider moving up one set of tees. Afterwards we visited the onsite restaurant and were very pleased with the service and meals. I recommend staying for lunch. We will be back for golf and lunch
Thanks to Mission Inn Staff! Fine establishment!
Wonderful golf experience
Apart from the public course down in Biscayne in Miami and you won't play a better public awesomeness public golf course here in Florida.
Great greens great scenery great location very hilly almost like California golf you will forget you're in the middle of Florida.
Awesome experience or somebody for money or some staff awesome place to stay loved it
I go back and play at least once every month I live two hours away.
Excellent Golf experience
The Lad C.f. Colinas course was in EXCELLENT condition. The fairways were plush and greens were true. We could not have asked for a better playing experience. Highly recommend.
WOW - Just as Good as El Chameon
Took a group of 12 out there on Saturday and WHAT A BLAST WE HAD! The course is amazing and the people are so friendly. Joe Lewandowski (Head Pro) took care of us and is one of the nicest golf professional I ever met.
The course was in excellent shape , #8 is one of the prettiest holes in golf I ever played, and #12 Alligator Alley is tighter in person then the video. All in all it was a perfect day capped off with excellent wait staff in the restaurant.
First, we'd like to apologize for the pace of play and more importantly that you did not see a ranger. It was a very busy day for us but that is no excuse for the pace you played at. Please give us another opportunity to show that our typical pace on Las Colinas is 4 hours and 20 minutes. Thank you for your feedback.
