About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Great disappointment
The city shut the course down because of the virus it was shut down for 4 to 6 weeks maybe longer they had people working while it was shut down what did they do I don't know the greens are in horrible shape tee boxes are mess and the fairways are very hard it would be a couple of months before I go back

Greens are a mess
Recently punched with big holes and not a great job sanding them back in. Hopefully they will get better soon.
Don't Bother for about a month
I had heard the course was closed for repairs so I called and the pro shop confirmed that the course had intended to conduct repairs but was unable to do so and thus was open. I was told the course had been aerated a couple of weeks ago and that no one had complained. Well, the greens were unplayable as the holes were nearly dime-sized and prevented any smooth play. The tee boxes were equally poor with large areas devoid of grass. The course allowed a five-some in the group ahead of us so the pace of play was terrible at nearly five hours. On the back nine we encountered two carts that had broken down in the fairway, one from the five-some ahead of us, further delaying play.
The staff at the course matched the excellent weather with their efforts to provide clean, sanitized carts, and advice about slow play.
Re-opened Today
I always enjoy playing here. The staff is outstanding. I enjoy the course layout. My only negative for today is the greens were recently punched. Putting was difficult but the greens will be good again soon. I’m glad they are back open.
where is the ranger!!!
play this course every monday. Ranger needs to enforce pace of play. golfers playing 2 balls, golfers looking for balls in creeks and marshes instead of playing! greens faster but now their bumpy.
Bent Creek - Jacksonville
This course is a bargain and one of the hidden gems in the Jacksonville area. BUT I have to warn you that it is rather challenging because the fairways are tight. Trees and water come into play on almost every hole. So it requires that you have very good ball control.

Almost 5 Hours to play
Bent Creek is notorious for trying to get more players to come here to play and will do so by offering lower prices. knowing they have a seniors tournament scheduled that started late. dont waist your time pay a little more and get done a lot faster.

Perfect for the first round of the year
The course was in pretty descent condition but the bunkers need some attention. It offered a nice selection of challenges that could be modified by tee box selection. The bathrooms with running water on the course were nice and overall it was a good experience. I would come back again if I was closer to the course.

Golfers who play here need to repair their divots in the fairway.

Bent Creek GC
Always a joy to play Bent Creek! The course was in good shape for this time of year and they have clearly done some work on the tee boxes since I played there in July. Greens were a little slow in spots but were overall in good shape. Good times were had by all!

Water is closer than you think
The greens on the front were slow and bumpy but much better on the back. Allot of loose sod in the wet areas. Friendly staff and enjoyable pace of play!

Bent Creek - Jacksonville
This was an excellent experience the course was in very good shape. The greens were a little sketchy they had recently been aerated but were growing in nicely. The tee boxes and fairways were in excellent condition.
I have not played in a while and found the course challenging but not exasperating. The starter paired me with a local who guided me around the course.
We had a really great time.
The nicest thing - they give you a yardage book that was very helpful. This course is a very good value and a hidden gem here in Jax.
