Bent Creek Golf Course

The greens need to be replaced. This isn’t not a good time to be playing golf at bent creek.

Every green was bad. Really needs work. Fairways and rough ok. Some wet spots. Course needs a do over on the greens . All 18 had bear spots and some kind of fungus. They better do something before course becomes unplayable.

The greens are the worst I’ve ever seen! They say nothing to you when you pay and they are still charging full price to play! I would definitely recommend that you play somewhere else! I just don’t know how to express how bad the greens are! Temporary greens cut in the middle of the fairway would be better to play on!

Don’t waste your money!

Played around 1230 behind a foursome pace of play was super slow. The greens were in horrible shape along with the tee boxes. Most of the greens looked like there was a fungus throughout. Sand traps were ok but needed work. I will not play this course again until at least summer time to see if it has improved. Right now I don't recommend this course to anyone the condition it is in. I was very disappointed. !!

The course is in good shape and the staff is very friendly. Hole is always in bad shape no matter what time of the season it is. The last few times have been over crowded and that makes the pace of play very slow. The starter is not always available. Today we were behind a threesome, while on the green they putted for a combine total of 12 times, not to mention it took them about twelve minutes to even reach the green another ten minutes on the green. We finally decided to go around them and the game speeded up. Not a good day at BC.

When a group show up late for their tee time they should not be allowed to get in front of a group that was on time. Ranger need to enforce pace of play. Par 3’s need grass on the tee boxes except hole 16. It’s a fun challenging course except when you have to wait on every hole and get out of rythem and play bad.

Good course, greens need improvement but are fair. Nice staff, slow play.

Course is ok. Greens are not in the best shape but ok. They always over book and behind. If you have plenty of time you’ll be ok. Our round lasted 5 1/2 hours. Pace of play very slow. No ranger to keep people moving.

This course is challenging without being too difficult. the course was is very good shape.

I have enjoyed playing this course in the past.

This courses greens are terrible!!! I have never played in a surface this bad and on top of this they placed the pin in spots that made the bad surface even worse. Pace was slow and they put a walked out in the middle of it all The group in front of me had a full hole open most of the round.

Course is really in rough shape. Greens are barely playable. Painted dirt basically.

Lots of area courses in much better shape.

Play this course in the summer and you will be much happier!

Nice course layout that is walkable. However, course was wet and muddy in many areas.

Greens rolled well despite some sort of top dressing.

We left after 9 holes due to pace of play. It was horrific.

However, staff was understanding and allowed us a refund for 9, given 3 were out of towners

The course does not drain well at all. There was mud and tire tracks everywhere. I was somewhat disappointed because I drove from Saint Augustine to play a course I had not played in over 5 years; with the course conditions being poor.

Too many tee times booked close together. Teed off almost an hour late ! No ranger on the course l it’s Christmas Eve so you get a pass on the ranger..

There was an issue of other golfers cutting in front of us on Hole 11 and slowed the pace of

play. This is a fairly common problem at Bent Creek. Multiple complaints typically go unaddressed by the Pro Shop.

There are insufficient and ineffective marshaling on the course.

Once someone pays and goes to theater Box there is no order.

You can have a Tee Time and people just go off whenever they feel like it.

This causes confrontations and verbal/physical altercations.

I am 68 years and have a Champions Card membership. I feel that there is a serious lack of overall management and oversight of play on the course regardless of the day and time of play.

The risk is no longer worth it and after 10 years, I am considering cancelling my membership and playing somewhere else.

Billy Casper Golf really needs to get a handle on what is going on at Bent Creek.

Positives: Nice layout, usually in good condition. Competitive pricing. Nice practice area. Staff is friendly.

Negatives: Pace of play can be poor. Expect a 4.5 to 5 hour round. Late morning tee times can be delayed on M, W, F because of a large men's group that plays regularly. Traffic leaving the course toward 295 is very bad and will cause delays of 10-15 minutes because of heavy congestion

I play this course a lot! Thanks for fixing the tee box on the second hole. Nothing to complain about except change the water in the ball washers. Thanks for mowing down the marshes. Play here every Monday.
