Palmetto Golf Course
About
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.

Disruption
During play the maintenance team on the course using saw to cut downs post with consideration to players and one of them was driving cart during tee off.
Very unprofessional
Would not play again even if it’s free
Save your time and go to killian or any other course for that matter Palmetto has gone completely to the gutter used to be a really good course. I don’t know what happened. They would have to pay me to play this course again pace of play is probably the worst in the world took me six hours to finish around
I was scammed
I went to play a round of golf with my dad and my brother, and we rented two sets of clubs from the pro shop. By the fifth hole, my brother went to use the 8-iron for the very first time. The moment he touched the grass to prepare his shot, the clubhead completely detached and fell off. It wasn’t broken by a swing; it was clearly already broken and just loosely placed back together before they rented it to us.
When we went to inform the pro shop, they were incredibly rude and demanded we pay $150 + tax. Their tone and demeanor made it obvious that this wasn't the first time they’ve pulled this scam on someone. To make matters worse, when we asked if we could pay less, they immediately threatened to call the police. They extorted us and ruined what was supposed to be a great family day. Avoid this place at all costs—they rent out broken equipment and use intimidation tactics to force you to pay for it.
Over Priced
Palmetto Golf Course has become one of the most overpriced public courses in the area considering the actual conditions of the course. The greens are in extremely poor shape, with large sand-filled patches and inconsistent putting surfaces throughout the round. For the price they charge, the conditions are far below what golfers should reasonably expect.
On top of that, course management seems more focused on packing as many players onto the tee sheet as possible rather than maintaining pace of play or the overall experience. The marshals spend more time stacking groups and rushing players than actually managing the flow of the course. The result is slow rounds, overcrowding, and a frustrating experience from start to finish.
There are far better maintained courses in Miami at similar or even lower price points. Unfortunately, Palmetto is charging premium prices for subpar conditions and an overcrowded experience.
Horrible Pace Of Play
Course has gone down. Played at 10am and upon arriving there were no carts available and the next round of carts were told to be on hole 16 still. Every tee box had two groups of four waiting ahead of us. Ranger didn’t help with pace of play and was real slow. Front 9 took us 3 hours to play so we left after the front 9.
Poor course management from starter to pace of play
From the beginning the starter was struggling to begin the course at pace. It was so bad. I paid for the entire round of 18 holes and at the turn after nine hole I excused myself from the foursome and went home. I would not recommend this course to players who are serious about the game
Enjoyable for the price
Greens a are little banged up from Egyptian geese and iguanas. Fairways and Tee box were in good condition. Golf carts have GPS and work fine no issues.
Papa & grandson (14) outing
The price I put in reflects rental clubs for both of us, box of balls and a glove so it was reasonable & grandson is a youth on course member We're from Maine so anything above 75 is hot to us. Overall, we had a great time, course was in great shape imo, and pace of play was pretty good until the end , slow group ahead of the two of us. The staff in all areas from pro shop to starter and food service was outstanding. Very friendly and accommodating. Course was challenging , but not overly so. I would recommend playing this course for sure.
