Palmetto Golf Course
About
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.

Long, not easy and greens need work
Yes this was a good round and I enjoyed it. Pro Shop in superior condition and staff available. Carts are great, course in decent condition but the greens definitely a negative
Otherwise for that money i would recommend it. Go through the pro shop so you pay $30 and not $40
Bad Service
Horrible, Have to pay twice I made my reservation for Sunday and call to change to Monday and they could confirmed the change, but when arrive they notify the change was not made and have to pay again.
I want my money back I had to pay twice.
They should call it waiting and not golf
I waited 5 min per tee on every tee. people cramped behind me while I waited for people ahead of me who were waiting for people ahead of them. So frustrating. Do not want to go back and its my local course.
Awful greens
The greens are awful, full of holes and bare areas. The bunkers have little to no sand. Unfortunately staff doesn't seem to care.
Won’t be back
The pandemic is no excuse to have a course in this bad of shape. Some of the greens we’re not even playable in sections. AOS golfers on the next hole to hit you. There are no barriers between the holes, and often errand shots, right at you. At the end, being instructed by a Marshall on how we need to clean our cart fully ourselves (including the proper way and place to dispose of pencils) was the icing on the cake.
Play Here All the Time
Not a great course...tough but conditions are bad...fairways are terrible..tee boxes are bad...and sand traps are packed in dirt...but $25 to walk on a weekend morning in miami is fantastic.
Could be better
Not in the best condition considering it was closed for a couple of months .I live nearby and haven’t played for a while so I thought it would look better. Just okay
Plays surprisingly long
This course is too pricey for its value. It plays pretty long so get your driver ready. The fairways and greens are in different shape. The rough has been mostly overtaken by St Augustine grass, which I don’t like. They charge $25 for walking, not a bad rate, and $50 with a cart, which is too expensive for this type of course. The driving range is no bueno, you can only hit off the mat. The practice green is in horrendous shape. The staff isn’t very friendly either.
Not a good course
Course is in terrible shape. Greens have patches everywhere. The fairway is not in good shape either. This is definitely a course you should try to avoid if you're a good golfer who likes to play on a nice track.
Great compared to other similarly priced courses in the area
I have played pretty much every course around this price ($40-$60) in the Miami area within the last 2 months. This one has been my favorite. Greens and fairways were great (not patchy at all) and layout definitely had some challenging holes. Definitely going to make this a course I play a lot until the premier card comes back.
Great price!
Very well maintain, the greens are excellent! And the staff very friendly and helpful!
Palmetto Golf Course
I bought a hot deal through here and got 18 holes for $18 with cart. I played as a single for 3 holes then it started to rain. I decided to go back to the clubhouse where there's a Sports Grille and got a pint while I waited for the rain to subside, not a bad thing at all. Rain finished and then got to playing. There are plenty of bunkers and water traps. The fairways are in good condition and the green are in great condition. The only thing since it was raining is that it was a little muddy so bring a wet towel just in case. Overall, great experience. The staff is friendly, there's nice putting greens, driving range, SPORTS GRILLE, mini golf, if you can't have a good time here then IDK where you might.
Smells and Lack of Common Sense
Just to disclaim, the staff from the starter to the staff in the clubhouse were friendly, however, whether he was the director or the manager who would not let us start before our tee time even though there was nobody on the course was just annoying. Additionally, the course smelled toxic and the houses on the course had loud music blaring. Overall, this has been more in line with the majority of the courses in Miami. Will not be playing again any time soon, but the amount of water hazards was somewhat fun...
Great local course for price
Friendly staff, driving range (not on real grass though) putting range, great wings bar afterwards..it's perfect. Did I mention reasonable price. Water on almost every hole, but the holes aren't overly difficult to be discouraging to new players. Play there quite a bit, and will definitely be back.
