Your approach to the 8th at Grand Cypress New needs to cross a burn, and you'll drive your cart over a stone bridge toward the green. Kitschy? Sure, but chalk it up to commitment to a certain aesthetic. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/31/2018

Great Link Style Course
We had 30-40 mph winds which really created the "Old Course" feel. Very challenging and fast greens on this signature course. Beautiful layout, great/friendly staff and overall a wonderful experience. I'd definitely come back and play the other courses at Grand Cypress.
Great Unique Course, Terrible Service
Course is different to most other Florida courses. A really good links replica with very demanding greens. It will test your short game. Excellent condition.
Proshop service to GolfNow customers is unbelievably poor. No question they resent you used GolfNow and got a deal. They delayed us 30 minutes; apparently that is allowed if NECESSARY. After waiting 3o minutes they let us tee off at our original tee time. There was no one ahead of us or behind us. Not sure why they use GolfNow if they resent GolfNow players.
Won't go back, which is too bad as it's a great course.
A Must Do
Great Scottish Links type course with lots of double greens. Played in 4:15 teeing off late on a weekend morning. Would certainly play it again.
Greens were in great condition
Played the New course, and it was fun and greens were in great condition. The greens are very difficult, and fun to play a totally different style of golf.
Got to play at least once
The course was in excellent condition, each hole presented a unique challenge. Greens were somewhat difficult but in good shape. Not sure I liked the shared greens on some of e holes. Pace of play was sometimes painfully slow 5 hrs.
Only negative, cart paths are horrible, who puts ruts in the paths? My back will recover.
Won't play again but glad I did, everyone should play at least once
Great value for a Great Course!
I have played the New Course at Grand Cypress several times now and it is still one of my favorite courses in the Orlando area. It's wide open fairways and shared greens make it perfect for golfers of all skill levels. Make sure to make it through all 18 holes because coming up 18 really makes this St. Andrews replica/influenced design feel like you really are in the home of golf. Just a tip, make sure you know what color flag you're hitting to! Now get out there, trust me, it's worth it.
fun to play
Double greens, need to use putter off the green and below hole
New versus Old Course
Excellent experience playing a course designed based on the Old Course of St Andrews. Better be in the fairways than in the brushes or sand traps
No fairways?
The first thing I noticed when I stepped up on the first tee was that there are not fairways. When you look out to see the layout of the first hole all you see in grass cut to the same length everywhere - including the 18th hole on the left side. I was thinking that this must be true links golf as you can play bump and runs from anywhere and everywhere. Very nice course design, good test of skill. Greens were in really nice condition. Very friendly staff. The only issue I had was went to pick up my cart they notified that they did not have enough and they were waiting for some to come off the courses. Four minutes before my teetime I finally get my cart. This was not an issue until the 12th hole when my cart started running out of juice. By the 15th hole I could only drive the cart on flat land as any hill 2 feet or higher and the buggy could not make it up the hill. Overall a nice day.
Great for all golfers
This course was a lot of fun to play. Wide fairways and, virtually, no rough almost ensure you never have to spend unnecessary time looking for your ball - especially if you're inconsistent off the tee. Just beware of those deep bunkers and occasional water hazards. The links feel - shared greens, rolling hills and no trees - provides a different type of golf playing experience but still in Florida. The greens were in tremendous shape during my round and I never had to wait for the group ahead.
great course, bad experience w clubhouse
Booked tee time thru golf now. Tee time was changed to accommodate 3 singles - locals. Explanation from staff was that Golf now should have notified me. Then they said they have the right to change per what it says on the GN terms. my foursome had to wait about 45 mins to an hour for my tee time. For the money, not sure I would go back.
Enjoyable Round
Great facility, always a treat to return. Make time to have lunch on the patio. Course is wide open for golfers that spray their drives. Greens are very challenging.
Consistently top notch
Great course, the double greens are fun.
They always have the course in immaculate shape. GPS in the cart are amazing and really add to the experience.
I play here as often as possible.
Overall great experience
I have played Grand Cypress many times since moving down to Orlando. This course features generous room off the tees, wide greens with difficult putts. Pace of play can slow down depending on time of year but I have also played when there is nobody on the course.
Great Conditions at The New Course
The New Course at Grand Cypress is fantastic. Every hole has its own scenic view to take in and remember. The fairways are wide, the greens are fast, and the prices are fair. By far my favorite course in the Orlando, FL area.
A lot of fun to play
This golf course was in fantastic shape, which says a lot considering we played it in January. I really enjoyed the practice facility, too. It is a great place for a group of friends to play, especially if you're looking for something that isn't too difficult but still challenging.
Awesome course, terrible pace of play.
The course is a very cool concept and design. It's nothing like any course I've ever played. It features dual greens, and shared fairways. The pace of play is awful. Seems like they completely overbook the course then don't do anything to keep people moving. I would go back here in the summer when there are fewer people in town.
I highly recommend this course
The New Course at Grand Cypress is a fantastic test of golf. It's the best course I've seen modeled after the Old Course at St. Andrews. I've been lucky enough to play the Old Course and the New Course at Grand Cypress definitely shares similarities. The 1st and 18th holes are similar, for example, and it's fun and different to play a links style course. The track was also in excellent shape and had a nice variety of different holes. It tests all parts of your game. The practice range is nice. Give this a shot for a memorable golf experience!
Step into international style
Beautiful course, European style course, with open fairways. Fun and interesting to play.
Love this course
What I love most about this course is that the greens, tee boxes and fairways are always in great shape. It's wide open but has enough obstacles to make it challenging.
