The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

not worth 14.35 for 9 holes or 18
who every gave this course 4 stars must not have ever played a good course.
tee boxes poor
cart paths a mess.
fairways sparse.
greens- large patches with no grass or sand covering the bad spot
gas carts smelled like gas
played LPGA the day before 18 holes almost perfect for $20.00 - some water in trap from 2 days of rain
took my wife here for her first time playing on a regulation course( 9 holes)
she told me to never book this course again.

Enjoyed the day
Course conditions have improved from the summer months. Comparable to other courses in the area. Always wish it was in the mid $20 in stead of plus $30. But will play it again.
Is that helicopter landing in the fairway?
I've never played here and I really liked the layout. There's plenty of room in the fairways but the greens are a bit rough, bumpy and slow. I had a great time and a good round. The staff is friendly, and fun and the food was great. I enjoyed a hot-dog at the turn. I was paired with friendly golfers, and no one was rushing to play through us. I'll play here again, soon.
Very dry
Course has been in better shape, very dry,firm greens,needs watering,tee boxes sparse in places, awesome layout,great staff,just needs a little TLC
like playing on a hiking trail ,very nice
the only negative was that there were a foursome in front very ,very slow . it took us ,( a twosome me and my wife) almost 5 hours and we have to skip the last hole because of the rain coming. Too long.
Very poor greens
This was a very fine course in Ormond Beach for years. The greens are in very bad shape for the last few weeks. This course is not worth $30+ until they correct the issues on the greens,
The course has a great layout
I play this course frequently. Sorry to say the greens have some kind of blithe on them in other words their not in good shape.
I’ll be back
I love this course and so do my golf mates. Have played here several times and for the value it’s worth the drive from West Volusia. The only downside is the greens. Too many dead spots. And that’s mostly the wet weather problems Florida suffers through in the summer. Will give the greens a while to bounce back and rebook in August. The fairways were in great shape.
Nice course
Even with course maintenance the play was very minimally affected.The design is very good for all players.
Group golf. Slow pace.
Groups everywhere. Payed for 18 but could only finish 9 because all of the groups of 4-5 were playing at an incredibly slow pace. The young guy working at pro shop provided fantastic service and very kind.
Very nice layout.
Play here occasionally and the course is in good shape right now. The greens are ok but they are improving.
Golf at the beach
Good layout and very polite staff.
Greens need a little help, I think the heat/ rain has them a little rough.
Overall a great day. Played with a few locals and a visitor from Las Vegas.
I always play when I am at the beach here.
This course is always one I play every trip.
SLOW DAY
Pace of play was horrible....slow from about the 3rd hole on. Threesome two groups ahead of us was very slow, never saw the ranger actually being a ranger. Greens were in very bad shape, rest of course was hit or miss.
Not at this Time
Always enjoyed this course but not on this day. Course in good shape except for the greens. Very bumpy and sparse of grass. I would wait playing there until they get the greens back.
Nice Course - Minus the Greens
The overall experience was good, but the condition on the Greens go a very long way in course ratings. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the course layout was great, and pace of play was fine.
The Greens however.......eeeesh, some were ok, but there were about 7-8 that were unplayable, and makes the makes the course look really bad.
The price makes sense once you see those Greens, that’s all I’ll say.
