Par-3 17th one of few water holes Photo submitted by HallandaleHitter on 10/13/2014
Good course, friendly staff
River Bend is a good layout with a variety of holes that make the course very interesting. The greens were in especially good condition with consistent roll and good pace. The fairways were in good shape also. Hit em straight and you'll have fun.
Very nice track
Very nice golf course and is great shape. For the money one of the best tracks around I paid $38 and it was well worth it
Only issue was someone needs to fix the bridges. You take your life in your hands by using them
Nice course
Green we’re very good and green. Fairways were grassy and your ball was usually setting up well. Nice place to play a round of golf.
Cart Paths rattle your teeth, but this course plays well!
Greens, fairways and layout are all good at this course (would have rated at 4 if not for the cart paths) where you can get around in under 4 hours and get good results rolling the ball on these receptive greens. The layout is challenging enough, or it can play shorter from the whites if you like. I had fun day and found the course to be pretty well kept. If you can drive your ball in the fairway you can score well and save your back by driving on the grass versus the paths. I found great value for money and will definitely play it again!
Great pace for 18 holes
Course was in great shape and we were done in3.5hr
Very nice golf course
Great staff welcome when arriving by cart staff. Then pro shop equally friendly. Starter at first tee had great disposition, humorous! Course condition was excellent, greens fairly quick, nicely mowed, great day!
Course in very good condition.Pace of play was ok.If they had more time (9 min instead of 7) in between tee times pace of play would improve.Driving range grass good.Definitely worth the money to play.Staff very friendly.
roughs need work
Played on President's Day - making for a very slow round. Course is not memorable as there are many short and straight holes - medium bunkering - hit the fairway as the roughs are almost non existent before you are in the scrub
Great course, but slow pace
I've always enjoyed this course layout and its in really good shape this year. Quick and true greens with excellent fairways. Just too many people enjoying this day golfing resulting in very slow pace.
Surprisingly good!
Very nice layout and course was in decent shape with only a few wet spots and in need of some tee box maintenance. The cart paths are in tough shape and really need work, (I was forewarned of this by a few past reviews), but we found the fairways and greens to be in good shape and the rough to be fair, versus some of the previous reviews warning of bad rough conditions. We played this track in 3 1/2 hours on a Saturday morning for around 32 bucks and will definitely try this course again.
Nice surprise
Very pleasant experience here. Met a couple of friendly guys and enjoyed our round. The course layout is very nice, course conditions decent, greens fair. It has a muni feel but a good design. Single engine aircraft fly by at times and there is a quaint rickety bridge you drive over a busy road...entertaining.
It even boasts a near 600 yard par 5 hole, the signature 8 th and a decent clubhouse and bar.
Worth a trip.
Riverbend Golf
Course was in good shape for this time of year compared to other courses I have played this winter. Played a nice easy 4 hour round.
Enjoyed this course. A very mature tract , well treed and a pleasant layout. The variability of the holes kept it interesting. Sand in bunkers very playable. Greens receptive and ran true. Some sparsely grassed areas on the fairways but was not an issue. The cart path itself , where present, is in dire need of repair. Quite a few very uneven and treacherous portions to the remaining concrete. I do look forward to playing this course again in the future.
Potential Gem
The course had OK reviews, so my wife and I tried it. The staff was friendly & helpful, as there are a couple of quirky directions between some holes. They are working hard on improving their fairways, having suffered through a lot of rain...course is in good shape. We had a nice lunch afterwards, and the food was very good.
