Twin Rivers Golf Club
About
At Twin Rivers Golf Club experience a course that combines the natural beauty of Florida with a consistent test of shot-making abilities. Nestled between two rivers this golf club offers eighteen unique and challenging holes surrounded by environmentally protected areas.
The fairways are well defined, and the greens, surrounded by mounds and pairs or trios of large bloomy bunkers, provide ample targets. Most holes encourage the player to favor one side of the fairway or green over the other, steering away from large and obvious hazards such as lakes, trees, or the large, flat bunkers.
All of this adds up to a very nice and playable course that tips out at only 6,636 yards and thus, due particularly to the price, is a first page recommendation for those seeking public golf in Orlando.

The greens are in terrible condition
Greens are terrible, no such thing as a pure roll. It’s like hundreds of unprepared pitch marks, but I suspect there are other factors. Bugs, birds, etc?
The course is challenging.
Avoid this course on Saturdays. The pace of play is atrocious. The whites have a high and accurate slope of 139, which is among the highest in the area. In short the course is tough, the rough is very penalizing and you will wait on each and every shot during a grueling 5.5 hours. Btw the greens are about to be lost as they are in terrible shape. To the owners trim the rough before the weekend so maybe rounds can be completed in about 5 hours. I’ll never play here again on a weekend.
Good Layout
Challenging layout. Good fairways but the greens need work. Rough was very deep making it very difficult for the intermediate golfer. Based on the large number of balls I found in the rough during this round I suspect many golfers had some frustrating experiences playing this course
These Greens SUCK
I was in town for work and thought I would play a round, even though it was very hot. Course layout was challenging, however the greens were a disgrace. I would never have paid that much, If I knew. It's evident that a failure to repair ballmarks has led to weeds or some alternative grass to grow. The cups were painted, indicating a tournament recently, but I can't imagine a tournament playing on greens like that. Sad part is, the fairways were great.
What a shame
This course has become unplayable. The greens were slow and bumpy. The holes looked like they were in the same spot for weeks. Not that long ago , this place was a nice place to play for the money. What a quick decline. Charging 50 bucks for a round of golf here is high way robbery.
Never Again
I stop playing this course because of the rude and insensitive people that I’ve encountered at Twin River. I decided to give the course another chance. I was greeted nicely by the starter. After that, everything went downhill. The first time I made it to the green on the first hole the greens were in a mess.. it looks like they sprayed to kill crabgrass, so the greens were spotted real bad, and had bald patches of grass. The rough was not well-maintained. You can tell that they did not put a lot of care in the entire course. My golf cart brakes did not work well. The golf cart overall was in satisfactory condition. The play on the course was very slow. We had an older foursome playing very slow. They could have let us go through. We were a twosome and no one was behind us. they didn’t even look back and just kept holding us at a ridiculous slow pace. We had to wait just about every hole. It will take me along time before I waste my time at this golf course.
Tough conditions
Start a the good: fairways and tee boxes are much improved.
The Bad: the greens are terrible with chemical burns and/or weeds. The rough is very inconsistent lengths like it has not been mowed just letting it grow to whatever length it can get to. Bunkers not touched in several days/weeks
Even though it was a great deal - conditions are falling behind others in the area under the same weather conditions.
Twin Rivers
The course was in fairly good shape but the pace of play was very slow
Rio Pinar
Under new management the course is being upgraded to the likes of Lake Nona Country Club
I don’t like the course
I live 15 minutes away and play this course maybe six times a year ….it is really hard, it is a jungle course. If you go off the fairways, forget finding your ball ….lots of water to carry …..the greens they’ve been putting some kind of a weed killer on them and so it’s it’s rough is it is very hard to putt…. don’t play there for a while. I played there yesterday and got rained out and wasn’t disappointed that I got to leave.
Better every time
Conditions really coming around. Tees and fairways/rough as good as I've seen. Greens coming around. Can't beat it for the price right now.
No water
No water at the water spots is kind of inexcusable in Central Florida in July. Great layout some of the greens are in rough shape with weeds overall not bad and will play again.
Greens
Course layout is really nice, fairways great, greens are not good.
Not what it’s been
The course was in pretty bad shape. Dead spots all over the fairways, the greens were in below average shape, and the pace of play was terrible. Definitely not worth the price this last time.
