Vegas 4some
The course was horrible, painted greens with dead spots all through out, fairways were also horrible with no water on them, the course was not enjoyable because of the conditions!
Felt overcharged.
I took my uncles out for a round of golf along with my girlfriend, and when they checked in they asked for ID and forced my uncles to pay an extra $40 per person for the 2 non residents. They were visiting me from St. George, UT. (not far) I paid for the round as a nice gesture but I feel as though my gesture was useless and the course was not in good condition. Had I known we were going to be stopped and ID’d I’d have just visited them in UT to play. The pace of play was bad and the greens were in bad shape, overall just a bad experience. I had played here before but will not be returning. I tried to talk to someone at the pro shop and they sent me to a higher up, when I talked to him he said he’d have to talk to another higher up. I gave up and am done trying to explain myself over something that seems so simple. Idk so here I am writing a review of my experience and an FYI do not take friends or family from out of town unless you want to pay the ridiculous fees.
Not well kept
Bunkers - sand hard with lots of rocks
Fairways and greens patchy
Great Layout - Marginal Bunkers
I love the layout of this course, you get a great mix of wide open fairways and target elevated green par 3’s.
I come back as it’s always fun. The course suffers from some long term deferred maintenance issues, broken cart paths, damaged concrete, bunkers with rocks.
Grass conditions are in fair and in line with time of year, know your going to have a lot of tight lies.
Legacy is a good value proposition, and could be so much more. Layout is fun…will be back. Staff was great all around.
Pro shop staff terrible
Having a noon tee-time the starter indicated they were running 20 minutes behind because of frost conditions, and I asked if there were any threesomes, or twosome’s that I could join staying close to my tee-time. He said there was and tentatively arranged for me to go with a twosome ready for an immediate earlier time exactly at 12:00, but he said clear it with the pro shop. Therefore I checked with the pro shop and I think it was the head Pro, or his assistant, explaining the earlier time considering the delay conditions and he adamantly refused the arrangement even though there was availability. Trying to reason with him was disconcerting to say the least, he said, “those times due to the delay were prioritized and it wouldn’t be fair to the others who paid a higher rate than yours, we have to keep you at the same time”, which would have been at least 30 minutes, or more later than my 12:00 tee-time! Common sense obviously didn’t prevail here, willing to send out a twosome between foursomes and not letting a single join them even though it was right a my original tee-time launch, all because of priority's sake and fee paid, that’s ludicrous!
Overall nice course
Considering the time of year I was ok with course conditions. I paid about what the course was worth. My biggest issues is there are very few distance markers and of course my Garmin watch was not working so every shot was a guess on distance. A 150 marker in fairway would be nice.
Great course layout!
Very fun course to play but way overpriced for the condition of the course and the greens and bunkers.
Slow play and bumpy winter greens
Will not be back. 5 plus hour round, greens were not good. Iiked the course layout and the fairways were in good shape, but overall was not a place i plan on returning to.
Superior to similar courses in the same price range
The course and surrandings looks amazing, but there's still some work to be done on finishing the greens and sand. Far superior to similar courses in the same price range in Las Vegas.
Vegas LGC
overall the course is not being well maintained. But my biggest issue is the overall excessive invasion of water foul on the course. Fairways and greens are extremely covered with bird droppings.
Winter Shape
Tee boxes shameful, great layout, no ball washers at tee boxes, greens really fast and very challenging.
Average course
Starting with the range, you’re hitting off practically sand.
Tee boxes are mostly turtle backed with a lot of sand filled divots so again hitting off sand and your lie is rarely level. Not something you want with tight fairways and hugged houses.
Greens were in bleh shape, lot of patches of no grass causing rolls to be bumpy.
Great Club with great practice facilities
Very nice place to play with great practice facilities and staff
Tough on the Novice
Long and at times challenging, but a good learning course for those progressing in their game. Keep playing!
