Mountain at Angel Park Golf Club
About
Angel Park Golf Club is one-stop shopping in Las Vegas golf.
There are two Arnold Palmer courses, neither one too difficult for the average hacker. Plus, there's a lighted par-3 course with sometimes shrunken copies of a number of the most famous par-3 holes in the world and an 18-hole putting course.
This is the mega mall of Sin City golf. Palmer's Mountain Course reaches an elevation of almost 3,000 feet and provides views of the Red Rock Mountains and Las Vegas skyline when you get into it. The shorter Palm Course (6,525 yards) still offers wide-open fairways that allow you to go for the green. No need to play a timid game here.

Pace of play was awful. Almost 6 hours.
Based on the pace of play I can not recommend this course. There were 2 groups waiting on every tee. The course pace was not managed by the rangers. Very little shade to be waiting on every tee on a 96 degree day. With the course just packed they did not even open the snack shop.
Overseeding
Overseeding was just completed and could not take the carts off path. They rent very good high end clubs, got to use Titlest AP1 irons with a 913 Driver. Course was good, but you need local knowledge so try to hook up with someone who plays there a lot. Fun course in an area with a lot of good courses (Summerlein), new way to do Vegas, stay in the Summerlein area and play golf during the day and gamble at night.
Loved it!
Greens were slow, rough was uncut due to reseeding but were warned ahead of time. Beautiful layout. Can score well if you play it in the fairway.
Overall a good course, fun holes, tough holes, a good time.
A few of the greens were in pretty tough condition but overall the course is in good shape.
Great Value
The course was being prepped for a Pro Am event and was in excellent condition. The greens were in terrific shape and consistent on every hole. The Golf Now rate was super. I would recommend this course to everyone.
Pace of play was amazing!
Great course and excellent pace of play. Don't like the non-resident rate. Tourist are visiting the state and supporting the economy and should not be penalized.
Well maintained but the greens
Mountain course has problems with some sort of disease on the greens and was not very much fun putting, c-, d+.....
disppointed
course is in good shape and pace of play was great until the back nine. We waited for at least 5 minutes for every shot. We quit after the 14 hole; it was just to slow. We saw a Marshall but he did nothing to speed up play. we found as we were driving to the clubhouse that a threesome was the holdup. Very disappointed with the speed of play.
Great course
The course has many challenges for all skill level players. It offers beautiful sceneries as well. Food cart available with courteous employees.
Nice views and some interesting carries needed.
Nice course with some carries needed over gullies and a ravine.
Good course to play when in Las Vegas
Good mix of challenge and recreational golf. Very nice course. Greens could use some maintenance. Maybe reminding players to repair their divots would not hurt because it seems that almost nobody is doing it. But generally nice course to play when in Vegas.
Lovely clubhouse and setting, good value compared to others in Vegas
pretty good course and plays a lot longer than you think. One draw back is that the Greens need a little work as they are too firm. Great day although the pace of play was a little slow. Good layout and some challenging holes that will appeal to many. White tee's wil sharpen up your 100 yard pitch shots for Birdie hunting, Blue tee's will make you learn to pitch short and utilize the scottish run up to give you a chance of pars. Helpful staff and good value in April.
Great layout in very good condition
Very nice course. All aspects of the course were wonderful. Greens were fast. Would definitely play it again and again. Well worth it.
No bang for the buck here, even with the golf now discount.
Greens are hard and don't hold. Fairways are full of divots that no one seems to care or know how to repair. Way to pricey for the course quality. I think they spent all their money on the clubhouse instead of the course. Definitely won't be back there again.
LONG & FUN by SUNCOAST
Played with father in law and another 2 some. Lots of long and well laid out holes, much better than the target style like Badlands. Angel Park Mountain was the best course we played, but then again we only played 2 courses. Much golf in the sand, but if you can get on APGC for about sixty bucks you'll have a good round. Enjoy!!
Ho Hum
On my trip to Vegas I managed to get few hours to play this course in the morning. The staff was friendly - both for checking in and for the rental clubs.
The course itself was well maintained. The fairways and greens were in good condition. The course is not super challenging , and that's the way I prefer it - most players shoot around 90 anyways.
My complaint is that it felt soulless. There was no hole that blew me away - either by its design , or views etc. Its a good place to play - but look elsewhere for memorable round of golf.
A great well manicured and challenging course
From a women's perspective, this course is challenging. I lost five balls, but I have lot of fun playing by myself. The course is beautiful, greens are difficult, but looking at the mountains and the clean sky it is so rewarding!
i would love to play it again with the special price from Golfnow.com
Good course but not great condition
Good course layout with a nice variety holes, greens were better and faster than they looked, fairways were not in great shape but not terrible.
Possibly seasonal? But I've only played it twice.
I played this course twice now. The first time in the warmer months and the course was beautiful. My friend and I boasted about it and couldn't wait to play it again, however when I played during the off season I was a bit disappointed. I understand saving water, seeding and preparing for spring etc., so it's to be expected to some extent, but overly dry conditions are more what I found. Still my partners and I would have enjoyed the course far greater if the greens alone would have had a bit of watered grass on them. The fairways in this condition are bearable, but the greens were some of the most aggravating I've ever played. Aside from being far too fast and impossible to read they were so dry and hard that I recall we watched in amazement while a ball rolled entirely off the green after just missing a short put on no more than average slope! I'm hoping we were just unlucky and caught the course at its worst possible time, that happens. I would hate to feel it necessary to choose Angel Park as a seasonal course. The staff is absolutely awesome! Very friendly and yes it matters. I'm not a complainer, just giving honest feedback because you asked.
If I were boss for a day I would simply have at least one restroom per 9 hole course! The course doesn't need to be littered with them but I'm afraid I can't get behind the concept of having "no" restrooms on the course. I don't know anyone who enjoys their game when they need to relieve themselves. I can't help but wonder who feels it's important enough to hydrate that a refreshment cart is readily available but if you need to "go", too bad! That's a lack of concern for the customer while continuing to sell product. Folks don't get to choose when the need arises and if I'm the boss, that's the first and possibly the only change I make at Angel Park.
