Mountain at Angel Park Golf Club
About
Angel Park Golf Club is one-stop shopping in Las Vegas golf.
There are two Arnold Palmer courses, neither one too difficult for the average hacker. Plus, there's a lighted par-3 course with sometimes shrunken copies of a number of the most famous par-3 holes in the world and an 18-hole putting course.
This is the mega mall of Sin City golf. Palmer's Mountain Course reaches an elevation of almost 3,000 feet and provides views of the Red Rock Mountains and Las Vegas skyline when you get into it. The shorter Palm Course (6,525 yards) still offers wide-open fairways that allow you to go for the green. No need to play a timid game here.

No bang for the buck here, even with the golf now discount.
Greens are hard and don't hold. Fairways are full of divots that no one seems to care or know how to repair. Way to pricey for the course quality. I think they spent all their money on the clubhouse instead of the course. Definitely won't be back there again.
LONG & FUN by SUNCOAST
Played with father in law and another 2 some. Lots of long and well laid out holes, much better than the target style like Badlands. Angel Park Mountain was the best course we played, but then again we only played 2 courses. Much golf in the sand, but if you can get on APGC for about sixty bucks you'll have a good round. Enjoy!!
Ho Hum
On my trip to Vegas I managed to get few hours to play this course in the morning. The staff was friendly - both for checking in and for the rental clubs.
The course itself was well maintained. The fairways and greens were in good condition. The course is not super challenging , and that's the way I prefer it - most players shoot around 90 anyways.
My complaint is that it felt soulless. There was no hole that blew me away - either by its design , or views etc. Its a good place to play - but look elsewhere for memorable round of golf.
A great well manicured and challenging course
From a women's perspective, this course is challenging. I lost five balls, but I have lot of fun playing by myself. The course is beautiful, greens are difficult, but looking at the mountains and the clean sky it is so rewarding!
i would love to play it again with the special price from Golfnow.com
Good course but not great condition
Good course layout with a nice variety holes, greens were better and faster than they looked, fairways were not in great shape but not terrible.
Possibly seasonal? But I've only played it twice.
I played this course twice now. The first time in the warmer months and the course was beautiful. My friend and I boasted about it and couldn't wait to play it again, however when I played during the off season I was a bit disappointed. I understand saving water, seeding and preparing for spring etc., so it's to be expected to some extent, but overly dry conditions are more what I found. Still my partners and I would have enjoyed the course far greater if the greens alone would have had a bit of watered grass on them. The fairways in this condition are bearable, but the greens were some of the most aggravating I've ever played. Aside from being far too fast and impossible to read they were so dry and hard that I recall we watched in amazement while a ball rolled entirely off the green after just missing a short put on no more than average slope! I'm hoping we were just unlucky and caught the course at its worst possible time, that happens. I would hate to feel it necessary to choose Angel Park as a seasonal course. The staff is absolutely awesome! Very friendly and yes it matters. I'm not a complainer, just giving honest feedback because you asked.
If I were boss for a day I would simply have at least one restroom per 9 hole course! The course doesn't need to be littered with them but I'm afraid I can't get behind the concept of having "no" restrooms on the course. I don't know anyone who enjoys their game when they need to relieve themselves. I can't help but wonder who feels it's important enough to hydrate that a refreshment cart is readily available but if you need to "go", too bad! That's a lack of concern for the customer while continuing to sell product. Folks don't get to choose when the need arises and if I'm the boss, that's the first and possibly the only change I make at Angel Park.
Angel Park Mountain
Word on the street is that Angel Park is hit or miss and I agree. I found the staff friendly and helpful (when you could find them). The course is fun to play but the conditions are far from pristine. Greens are fast and difficult; some lacked grass almost entirely but they ran true. The clubhouse is impressive but I'd rather they spend the money on the course. If you are paying more than half-price, you paid too much.
Great public course
Not pristine, but a good layout and excellent deal for the price.
In the off-season for the course. Greens were very fast, but overall condition was about 3-3.5 on a scale of 1-5.
Great layout, played many times and worthy of your next round
Enjoyed the Mountain Course of Angel Park
A beautiful course with great views of the surrounding desert mountains set next to the Suncoast Casino. Course was in good condition for January. Like most courses the fairways are a little too close together but maybe I just need to hit my drive straighter.
good value for $
course ok for a muni-like experience
no ranger to keep slower groups moving - but for $45 in the Las Vegas area - not much more expected a few bare spots in every fairway. greens were good enough, though they varied in speed
Horrible Greens
This is the worst golf course I have ever played on. The greens were like concrete and the tee boxes were even harder. You needed to drill hole for your tee, No Joke!
Typical public course, not bad but not great. Too many beginner players, caused very slow round. Had to quite on after 16 holes.
i think there are better choices in the area, especially if you are coming from out of town. The day we played weather was perfect for the time of year, but a cold spell had come through earlier in the week. Greens were not good.
Average course with average cost = average play.
This was the first of three course we played during our stay. It set the bar kind of low for the others. While the staff was very nice and the cost was low, I was expecting more of the condtions. I know that courses like to keep the fairways trimmed, this course had them cut to the bone. The greens didn't like to hold many shots, but the ground was very firm this day. We enjoyed the round and I'm not really complaining. I will say, keep your food hidden, the "locals" like to jump in your carts and help themselves to your food.
Outstanding value. Excellent greens, very playable.
This is a great course. Challenging layout, very playable. A couple of forced carrys that made it a little tough on my wife, but that's golf. The greens were in great shape - particularly for a winter round. I'll play it again. It was a great value, two rounds for under $100 in Vegas is awesome! Staff was very friendly. I've played virtually every course in Vegas (with the exception of those wanting Pebble Beach rates) and this one is in the top 20%.
Rude staff, no respect for beginners
Throughout our round we had an Asian marshall follow us around the entire back nine telling us to play faster. We informed him we had two beginners in our group and also acknowledged to him that we knew we were playing slow and tried our very best to stop and let people by. Golf is a gentlemens game and there was zero example of that by both staff and other players. Our entire round felt rushed and took away from the enjoyment of the game. Very disappointed for a highly reviewed course. I will never be playing here again due to never experiencing such rude and condescending employees.
Heaven at Angel Park
This was the 3rd or 4th time I've been there and will always be two or the course I play during excursions. The staff is hands down the easiest going, most friendly, capable and accomodating people I've ever encountered. They just get that we are there to enjoy the recreation of a nice green place in the desert and do everything they can to accomodate that. I am not sure how this could get better.
