Type of course
First time played at this course. Fairways Excellent, Greens good. tees fair. Will golf here again. I do recommend this course for all levels of golfer. Lost two balls.
Tough course
I would not recommend this course for
Srniors.
It's a very tough course.
Challenging course but enchanting desert landscape
Parking area very close to bag drop area thus very friendly to first time visitors. . You can walk to the bad drop area asking for help if the bag drop attendant is not driving around in the parking area.
Pro-shop personnel and starter are very friendly.
There are three 9-hole courses. Both the Diablo and the Desperado are not for beginners. The Outlaw course is somewhat friendlier. Some holes require to carry not one but two hazards (barranca and /or water), I played with three possibly single digit handicap players on the blue tee, and all lost balls. None of us mind because the the desert landscape is so unique and beautiful with the mountain in the distance and thunder cloud overhead. It can be enjoyed if you choose your tee box wisely.
The fairways are in excellent condition. Greens are relatively slow.
When finished your round, the friendly attendant would clean your clubs, drive you to your car and help you loading your bag.
The green fee which includes a bucket of balls for warming up is reasonable especially for local residents.
Challenging
I found his course to be very challenging. It tested my ability to make shots. I will be back.
Awesome!
desperado extremely tough to play the first time without a caddy couldn't wait to try it again a lot of blind shots but it still was my favorite
Great day.
Played Diablo-Desperado nines. Course has a great layout and very challenging. The course was in good shape with the exception of some greens. The staff was friendly and they had a great burger grab-and-go special for $5. I played with a couple of locals who helped with course management, which was great since it is target golf on many holes. We played on a Wednesday at 10:20 am and finished in under 4 hours. Overall I loved it and will definitely be back.
beautiful layout
nice challenge after not playing golf all season nice layout & beautiful scenery
Well worth the time
My wife and I have played all 3 nines more than once and it is a must play for us. Played the course from the blue tees and it is very fair. Scenic and challenging but enough fairway to keep it in play. Club house never has anyone in it but the staff has always been friendly and service is good. Make sure to get the course book if your not playing with someone that knows the course. My wife is a 18 handicap and never lost a ball in the whole round.
Excellent experience course in Desert
As weather good, field and green was nice.
Course was a little narraw but not so difficulty.
A few fairway was forbidden then challenging.
And also the green did not look difficult but crearly not easy.
It was very plesant experience and seanary.
course tough
Course was in great shape. The canyons are deep and requires straight shots and the right club selection
Gorgeous Course!
This course is very challenging...the scenery was spectacular...fairways and greens were in really good shape...greens were fast and rolled really good, no bumps. The staff was very friendly and helpful, since I had never played there before. Overall, this round of golf was alot of fun, and I would play it again on my next trip to Vegas.
Another great day at Badlands
Every time I play Badlands its in great condition. Using golf now saved me a few bucks too.
Very poor pace of play
Very disappointed in the pace of play. In addition, the staff allowed a 5-some to be playing in front of us despite the fact that pace of pay was so slow on the course. They claim that they enforce a 4 hour pace of play but that is false, they do not.
great time
Beautiful course!!!!! in great condition for early season golf
Desert Golf
Challenging course. Had a GPS device on cart, but no images of fairways. Just yardages and hints. Some holes could use this to improve play.
Course Marshalls & pace of play, only recommend this course to highly skilled players
The course marshals at this course do not seem to understand golf course etiquette. First of all the group in front of us turned up late and when approached by the starter we had no problem allowing this group to tee off and for our group to start 15minutes later.
We had two lesser experienced players in our group and this is a course with a lot of hazard area but a nice course to play, so of course the two lesser skilled players were in the hazard more than most, one Marshall approached us and asked if we could let the group behind play through, we said no problem, so we were waiting for the group behind to finish on the green when another marshal approached and said that we were not allowed to let groups play through, so we tee'd off then the original Marshall came back, denied that he had asked us to let the group behind play through and then made us skip that hole and the next. We were then right behind the group in front all the way to the 18th, however the Marshall was still constantly hounding us to speed up play.
I would recommend this course only for players with a very low handicap, two of which our group had, however they even found the hazards sometimes.
The situation with the matshals just made the round stressful and uneasy, and very hard to relax and concentrate on your game. I have never had so much hassle on a golf course in all my life and every member of our group agreed on this, we also agreed that we have never been on a course where you were not allowed to let the group behind play through if you were holding them up.
It is a nice course but I would only recommend it to highly skilled players or when the course is very quiet otherwise the Marshalls will hound you all the way round which makes the entire experience unenjoyable.
It's not your average golf course.
If you play this course you should plan on playing it twice. First time to experience and learn the landing zones and the second time to score. It is one of the more challenging courses I have ever played. Well worth the money it cost to play. It was great fun to play and am looking forward to my next trip to Vegas to play it again.
Great Friday golf
Great Friday golf . Course is in good shape the only issue was at the start ,short on carts. Staff was friendly as usual.
Gorgeous and fun
Fantastic desert course, good assortment of challenging holes. Well manicured and set beautifully amongst the landscape. Greens run true. Good test of strategy and target golf!
Desperado/Diablo
Always a joy to play this course. Not for beginners so it can be frustrating when you get some clowns playing the back tees. Outlaw 9 is the easiest so they should always play that 9. Otherwise the other 9's are challenging for good golfers. Necessary to pay attention to your distances since it is easy to loose a ball or few.
