I always wanted to play a link style course and I was amazed on how well kept this course was. AAAA+

Ok, course was in nice condition, but to me was much more lush than the real holes, you don't get the roll your expecting, not at all like you may see on tv where your ball rolls forever and you have to hit up short to greens and let em roll up, in fact, quite the opposite, you should attack the greens as they are very receptive, and most short shots will probably remain short. There are way too many blind shots for a course where they don't equip the carts with a gps system that shows where the carts in front of you are, or where the hole goes. For some reason you are not allowed to hit out of the long grass, if you find your ball it's a free drop, which is fine i guess, but not a real test of your game, just another thing that separates it from the real thing. Pace of play is 4hrs 25min, we were well within this pace but the ranger decided to follow us for over 3 holes, made things very uncomfortable, one of our players even left after 9 holes because of this. I played with 7 people, afterwards everyone said the same thing, i had to play because they normally charge like $100 more than what we paid, and we wanted to experience it, when asked if they would play again, nobody said yes, and everyone said definitely not at they're normal rates. The course is just designed after some famous holes, it doesn't magically take you there, you will not feel the heritage or get any kind of experience like the real thing, it's just another course and that's the feeling you get.

Love the course but can someone sit the super down and have him watch the Open Championship any Open Championship. Hint you should be able to roll your shots in on a true links course. Excellent course and super staff just not real links golf.

Great change of pace course just wish the course superintendent knew how a links course was supposed to play. I learned the game on a true links course and Royal is just a bit off as the ball doesn't roll out nearly enough. Otherwise great course great staff.

The course is in great shape. Greens rolled true. Best deal in town for locals. The local rate is a no brainer! Newer carts, staff is great as is the food! Tough bunkers and if the wind is blowing then good luck!! Love this track!

The course was great, only thing stopping 5 stars is that the greens are still growing in from recent maintenance. Otherwise, the layout and conditions were great. I look forward to playing again when the greens are in better shape

I found the course very nice with solid greens, details and amenities. But the British links theme was kinda gimmicky. The numerous pot bunckers weren’t fun, just annoying. The fairways and greens were in great shape and the overall course was good, but not totally worth the money.

Very different than most courses in the area in that there are no deep ravines, few cacti or desert areas. There are, however, plenty of deep bunkers that are not easily seen from the tee. Use their app, it will help. I imagine this course would play a lot tougher with wind. Great condition and very playable for less skilled players.

I liked the course and it was interesting at each hole they had some 2 about Open champions and that hole. Very cool!

This was a nice course, but I thought for the price it was a little under-kept. The greens were quite patchy and the course as a whole could've used some water. Definitely a challenging course, as you can land in a Pot bunker in the middle of several fairways. There are tons of hills as well, so even if you hit a nice tee shot you'll most likely have a pretty tough lie. Overall, the staff and amenities were excellent, however, I expected the course conditions to be in better shape for the price. Still, I would play there again at a discounted rate.

Fairways are wide and firm, but make sure you stay on them as the rough is thick and difficult to see a ball in. Greens were fast with lots of undulations ( had several 3 putts on he round).. The links style course was in good shape and the staff extremely friendly. Would recommend this course to my friends and will definitely play it again.

For a public course they treat you like a private country club, the staff was awesome and very helpful and insightful of the layout of the course, and all the troubled spots to avoid. Great place

Everything was absolutely great. Fairways and greens were in immaculate condition. Worth every penny. Will definitely play this course again.
