The Club at Sunrise

My first time playing this course and it is very challenging for a beginner golfer like me. Any shot right will lead to the water canal. Also was a really windy day a made it more difficult. Overall nice challenging course that I will come back when hopefully I improve my golf skills.

Course layout was challenging and the wind made things a lot more difficult. Anything to the right would roll down into the drainage area.

Beautiful day for golf. My friend had his best round ever. I had my worst.

Interesting layout around flood channels, keep it left and stay out of trouble. Greens were great and pace of play was excellent. Nice practice area.

All four of us enjoyed our round. The course was in good shape with well maintained bunkers. The homes and trailers around the course were in rough shape but the golf course has no control over that.

This is a lower price one that you will see on GolfNow for Vegas and a very good value for the $$$$. This is a trick course in that you are running along a huge drainage area and if you are not careful you will be down in it. I found it fun, challenging, the people here are nice, good little practice area and a fine place for the lower price you will see here. This is not a top end resort but, give it a try.

The wonderful adventure of a lifetime. We knew we were in for a treat when on the way to the course, we saw ambulances, oddities, and a guy furiously looking through rocks for some rock. At check in, a man who had lost his sunglasses held up an entire line of people as he tried on each pair in the lost & found as if he were at Lens Crafters. Now on to the glorious course!! The conditions were ok, not horrible yet not great. The great thing about “Sunreezy” as we call it, is that it’s built on top of the remnants of a massive terrain shifting earthquake from 120 years ago. So most of the holes include a HUGE canyon just slightly to the right of each fairway. You WILL find yourself down there. It’s every golfers right of passage. It’s an honor to go down into the depths of Hades to find that hidden gem of a Srixon. And in all honesty, if you don’t like it just don’t hit it over there.

Once you get past the canyon, the total lack of pace because of said canyon, and the random sights & sounds of Nellis Blvd, this course has more magic. As we’re standing on the tee box on hole 13 we see a mysterious grey ball floating along in the Flamingo Wash in front of us. Just then, an odd woman appears walking with her dog as the dog is drinking from said wash. An odd sight for a golf course. As the woman got closer to the stream of dirty water, she slipped in like a drunken newborn baby dear. Instead of standing up and walking out of the 2 feet of water, she struggled and splashed and then seemed to condemn herself to the wash. She gave into the wash. That Flamingo Wash is her home now. I shot par, birdie, par immediately after seeing this. That’s when I knew that we had met my fairy godmother. She lives in the Flamingo Wash at Club at Sunrise. This course is full of surprises at every turn. This course is magic. Although I’d never recommend it to the weak minded, I consider it the best golf course in East Las Vegas. It’s a poor man’s Narnia. I will forever love SunReezy!!!

Bring extra balls easy to lose a ball if you go into the gully’s of the wash.

Hate giving anyone a negative review, but this course ... sheesh. It's built alongside a massive canal system and EVERY fairway slopes towards the canal, so many good shots end up there. Even if you take a free drop, it really slows the game down and is annoying. Add in the "commercial" or retail properties right next to some of the holes and it's not good aesthetically - at all.

Course and greens itself were decent; but overall I would NOT play here again, and would NOT recommend.

Course was in good shape. It was an extremely windy day which did not help my game. I need all the help I can get . Anyway a bad round of golf beets a good day of work. Come try the Club at Sunrise. You will like the price and the challenge

The coarse condition is not bad but even if your shot hits the centre of the fairway it may go down the slope to the canal way. If you chip to far onto the green you might get to the canal. Was frustrating

The course was a fit for our first day arrival time in Vegas. The price was right, the staff were very friendly but the course was “interesting”. Conditions were fine for the dormant grass season. The course runs along an arroyo on every hole. Too frequently, good drives would find the end or edges of the fairways and run all the way down the slope into the hazard. While there was not a lot of water flowing in the concrete culvert, it was ~6” deep and flowing swiftly enough that any ball finding the water was going to flow quickly out of reach.

That being said, I would consider playing it again now that some local knowledge would help improve the shot selection
