Nice course, conveniently located, painfully slow pace of play
I found this course on GolfNow during an annual trip to Las Vegas. It was very quick and easy to get to. The starter staff was great and seemed really committed to a good pace of play. On the course, however, there was no marshal and the two groups in front of us fell a hole-in-a-half behind causing us some agonizing waits. I finally skipped ahead and missed out playing #16.
I really liked the course and will probably try it again.
Nice and slow!
For the $ u wont find a course in better shape, considering the amount of traffic it gets, makes that feat even more impressive. Very slow though, waited for 30 minutes to tee off at 5th hole, had 5 groups ahead of us on tee box, really needs a ranger out there. I ran out of daylight after 5 1/2 hrs and wasnt able to play the last 2 holes. All in all though, better condition than courses twice the price. Will play again when i have 6 hrs to kill and maybe wanna get a good tan.
Fairly flat - up- and down layout, greens were spotty but very playable.
Very inexpesive played for $20 each with cart- arrived at course early and were sent out immediatly which was great.
The course was very slow.
There were 3 foursomes waiting to tee off on 3 different holes. They do not pay attention to pace. The course was in ok condition.
Easy to walk family friendly
Very very slow, waited at every hole with a full group waiting with us.appeared to people walking, not golfing ,just along for a visit
The course was durable
This course was over crowded, The ranger should make frequent rounds around the course, to help with the flow of the course.
In good shape but super slow.
The course was in good shape but the pace was too slow for me to bear. I left after 9 holes. There was no starter to keep order on the tee box so when I arrived (I had a tee time btw), there were 5 groups at the first tee. I asked why it was so busy and the guy in the pro shop said that people were late for their tee time plus there are some walk ups so it got crowded. Where I'm from, if you're late, you don't play unless its not busy. You shouldn't penalize the people who are on time by making them wait. I will not be back
This is a municipal golf course.
Las Vegas has a few municipal golf courses. This course has good green fairways and rather tricky greens. Since they allow walkers play is usually a little slow. Overall one of the better values for the money right now.
Great day for Golf
It is a Sin not to Golf in Las Vegas. Muni is a good low stress highly enjoyable value. The course is long enough to stretch out your clubs and has enough challenge to get you in trouble if you miss a shot. Staff was friendly and and the rate was great.
Great value, friendly staff and well maintained.
The fairways are wide open, so if you miss you can still recover. Super friendly staff and nice relaxed atmosphere. If your staying on the strip and want to get away from the chaos for a few hours and have a nice relaxing day of golf, this is the place.
Good day, eh
The course was in good shape and busy on a sunny holiday Monday. The pace of play was slow, but our foursome wasn't challenging par. The gal in the refreshment cart was attentive and friendly. No complaints.
GTree-lined fairways unusual for Vegas
Great tree-lined course that was probably once a great walking course. Unfortunately the greens are spotty and require attention.
Too bad, I loved the tree-lined fairways.
Poor pace of play management
Pace of play was very slow. 4 groups were waiting on number 2 tee box. Took 3 hours to play front nine. Unable to complete back nine due to darkness and slow play. Sprinklers came on while still on course.
Fine establishment. It was a busy day and the staff did a great job getting people out to play in a proper manner.
At times, I was surprised by the number of golf balls flying past our cart. You really need to be alert at this course as all the holes are very compact and close together.
good for the price
i play here a lot and enjoy it couples of holes need matiance
I used Driver every hole but the Par three's!!!!!
Fun course enjoyed it and didn't have to break the bank! About 25 dollar cab ride from the strip each way but the green fees more than compensated for that. I played with some locals who play there all the time for the value. The greens rolled plenty fine and even though its not a long course you can just hammer away with driver without to much fear of not finding your ball. At the end of the day I got just what I wanted, a lot of sun and a lot of roll out fast fairways. It's not the fancy course but it quenched my appetite for golf nicely! I offered a local 20 bucks for a ride back to the strip as they said you could wait awhile for a cab.
Now I know why the fees were so low
Tee time was delayed 40 minutes due to over booking. The course was average in design and play was extremely slow. The greens were in terrible condition, fairways and rough were fair.
Would not go back.
they over book tee times
they over book it had to wat an hour to tee off on a beatiful day
Old style course
course not bad for winter in Las Vegas. pace a little slow but the course has many older players and many who walk.
Good course to warm up on
Pretty easy course but we were rusty and just wanted to warm up our game so this course fit our needs quite well. Mostly locals golfing. I was glad they told us about the Bermuda grass that is supposed to be brown during their winter.
