Golfer Reviews
Good day, eh
The course was in good shape and busy on a sunny holiday Monday. The pace of play was slow, but our foursome wasn't challenging par. The gal in the refreshment cart was attentive and friendly. No complaints.
GTree-lined fairways unusual for Vegas
Great tree-lined course that was probably once a great walking course. Unfortunately the greens are spotty and require attention.
Too bad, I loved the tree-lined fairways.
Poor pace of play management
Pace of play was very slow. 4 groups were waiting on number 2 tee box. Took 3 hours to play front nine. Unable to complete back nine due to darkness and slow play. Sprinklers came on while still on course.
Fine establishment. It was a busy day and the staff did a great job getting people out to play in a proper manner.
At times, I was surprised by the number of golf balls flying past our cart. You really need to be alert at this course as all the holes are very compact and close together.
good for the price
i play here a lot and enjoy it couples of holes need matiance
I used Driver every hole but the Par three's!!!!!
Fun course enjoyed it and didn't have to break the bank! About 25 dollar cab ride from the strip each way but the green fees more than compensated for that. I played with some locals who play there all the time for the value. The greens rolled plenty fine and even though its not a long course you can just hammer away with driver without to much fear of not finding your ball. At the end of the day I got just what I wanted, a lot of sun and a lot of roll out fast fairways. It's not the fancy course but it quenched my appetite for golf nicely! I offered a local 20 bucks for a ride back to the strip as they said you could wait awhile for a cab.
Now I know why the fees were so low
Tee time was delayed 40 minutes due to over booking. The course was average in design and play was extremely slow. The greens were in terrible condition, fairways and rough were fair.
Would not go back.
they over book tee times
they over book it had to wat an hour to tee off on a beatiful day
Good course to warm up on
Pretty easy course but we were rusty and just wanted to warm up our game so this course fit our needs quite well. Mostly locals golfing. I was glad they told us about the Bermuda grass that is supposed to be brown during their winter.
Golfer friendly course.
Generous fairways. Position is key off the tee or second shot for an easier shot into the green. Greenside bunkering is deep but fair. The greens were bumpy and could use some work, but are playable with good contouring. Enjoyable round of golf.
poor management
Manager doesn't controll his staff well. They allow slow play, and give preferential treatment to their regular players, even as as far as giveing away your tee time.
Nice easy layout can get to all the Par 5 in two big hitters.
Play before 2 pm after the hackers are out and they play slow.
Much nicer than a year ago.
I last played the course a year or so ago and didn't like it. But yestereday, even though it was miserable (light rain and wind) it was much nicer.
This Course has big farways
This course allows for you to recover from most mistakes with the next shot. Although that day the hole location was a little tricky, making it a little chalenging.
Yuck, 6 hour round...
Worst course in Las Vegas, poor valve for your Money.
Won't be going back
Booked online to play this course after travelling from Canada and was not overly impressed. The course itself was not too bad but clubhouse, etc were rundown and staff were not friendly. The green fees were slightly less than the course we'd played the previous day (Badlands) but ended up evening out after paying an extra $10 for the driving range. They also did not have some of the little 'extras' that other courses in similar price range offer (ex. GPS on carts). We made the best of it but there are far better options - spend your money somewhere else.
Great reasonable (for LV) golf
For the price in LV - excellent! Play the gold tees. Nice rental clubs for $25 after 12:30, close to the strip, so for the visiting bargain hunter, can't be beat
Pace is Way Too Slow
I've played this course several times over the past 12 years. Prior to yesterday, the most recent time was earlier this Spring when I almost didn't recognize the course because management had swapped the front and back nines. The experience that day was good as the pace was pretty consistent. Yesterday, it was back to the front nine being adjacent to Washington Ave and Hole number 3, a par 3, is a real log-jam. Hole 1 plays quick and then you sit at the tee-box on Hole 2 for ever and a day. it doesn't really spread out until about Hole 7. The course is very reasonably priced, but there are consequences to that. First, management loads up the course with too many players, especially given the log-jam on 3. Second, the skill level of the players who go there is quite low. It's obvious many are beginners. Fortunately, the course is wide open with virtually no out-of-bound areas to contend with and that means finding a miss-hit ball is easy. The course was in excellent condition yesterday with deep green grassy fairways and nice smooth greens in better shape than I've seen on a lot of more expensive courses in town. My partner and I launched at 1:35 PM and finished the 14th hole in the dark at 5:00 PM. That suggests a full 18 holes would have taken 5 hours or more. There's no course marshall to maintain pace, but I doubt that would help since there are just so many players out there.
Easy and short
Good course for beggineer to mid handicap golfer..
