Piankatank River Golf Club

Super fun layout, great for price! Great pace until we got to back 9 and it seemed there was a high school match in play which caused a couple play throughs, no one to guide us.

To start off, the staff makes you feel like you’ve known them for years, extremely friendly. The course conditions were amazing for the price. Front 9 hilly with some challenges and back 9 wide open and flat with a nice view of the piankatank. Ill definitely be returning here.

Slow greens. Un fixed pitch marks on greens. Tees and fairways are nice.

It was relatively fun to play except the greens were consistently in-consistent. Some greens like a shaggy rug and other cut as expected but still rolled slow.

I spend between a third to half the year on the Middle Peninsula. This is the best and friendliest course around. The head pro is great. The range is simple but well-cared for. I don't need anything special there. I really enjoy the course. The two nines are very different. I think the front plays harder. Several holes on the back play along the river, with views. I was really pleased with the conditions during my round. The staff has been doing a great job with the upkeep and improvements. Ill keep coming back.

I would play it again. Great view/play with 3 holes on the river. WOW, that was pretty nice to see.

The course was fairly nice the greens were in good shape. However, the maintenance guy started turning on sprinklers without warning as we approach certain holes which was an inconvenience and a pace of play slow. They put a foursome in front of us in on the first hole the one guy hit four balls off the tea. Not worth the money
