Having hosted three PGA Senior Tour events, Wild Creek Golf Course is a run that few golf travelers want to miss and part of what helps to make Reno and the High Sierras one of the top golf destinations on the entire West Coast.
Featuring rolling meadows and challenging golfers with a plethora of water hazards and other challenges, Wild Creek is a popular stop for local golfers. With a course that will challenge golfers of all levels, Wild Creek is also a bonanza for those that love great scenery during their round, as panoramic views of the High Sierras and Reno will be a player's partner for the round.
Wild Creek is rounded out with superb practice facilities, to go along with a par-3 executive course, making it the perfect place for players to sharpen their golfing skills.

Interesting Holes
The course condition is what you would expect for this time of year. This course has some challenging holes and is interesting to play

5 1/2 hrs to play every time I have golfed here. Nice course though.
Early season Nevada golf.
The course is just greening up and the greens are ahead of the fairways. Greens were fast and relatively hard so either a run up or backspin is required to hold the green near to pins. The sand traps have a good depth of sand and are relatively easy to make a good shot to the pin. Many of the holes require target accuracy to have a decent approach to the green. Overall, a nice layout and a challenging mix of valley, uphill and over water shots.
A course to play more than once to appreciate all the different angles.

Very good course conditions
For being early March the course conditions were very good, though the course has many challenging shots if you play from the Tee boxes that fit your level of play the course becomes very forgiving, if you play the Tee boxes above your level then the course becomes way to difficult, even just trying to reach over the hazards to get to the grass, I love this course. It has 6 easy, 6 medium and 6 hard holes. And don't forget that several holes have excellant views of Reno and Sparks so take your time and soak it all in.
Best golf value in Reno
This is the best facility for all ages for practice and play. Must shop around to get the best deals. GolfNow.com is the best place to start.
Winter play with cart path only can make this challenging course put a little more attention on where to aim. So pair up and have fun.

It was a fun, but challenging course.
The pro shop gentleman was very helpful and friendly.
The course was in prety good shape. Not too many players as the weather was brisk.
Two of us played. Got a great deal through Golf Now. The fairways were nice, The greens were in good shape, however they had recently plugged the greens. It wasnt excellent, but it was definately playable. Had a great time.

Wild Creek
I have been playing at wild creek for over 10 yrs. I typically play at Wild Creek 4 times a year on average. The course could be a very nice course if they would remove the wild geese and spend a considerable amount of time fixing the numerous degradation issues. The amount of goose droppings is truly ridiculous on most of the course. The course has a challenging layout, but it is still a lot of fun to play. Despite the marginal grounds, I still recommend playing a round.
Challenging course, but could use some TLC.
2nd time playing, first 9 challenging and a bit in need for some TLC, greens are cut well and tee boxes need a dust up. Geese unbelievable, no geese much better course. Back 9, more challenging, but still needs its TLC. Overall, not a bad course, just minimal geese.

Local Muni Worth The Money
A well maintained local Muni. Worth the $35. Nice elevation changes, smallish greens that roll nicely. Only negative for my wife - lots of Geese & Geese droppings on course this time of year.
