About
The Barony Course at Port Royal Golf Club constitutes 18 of this well-known island facility's 54 holes.
Playing to just 6,543 yards from the gold tees, Barony is a very enjoyable course for all skill levels. The back nine in particular is a fine mix of long and short holes. Like its sister courses at Port Royal, Barony begins and ends at the club's beautiful Antebellum-style clubhouse.
From the tee, many of the holes on Barony appear to be relatively open. But as you approach the green the real challenge of the course becomes clear. The greens are small and protected by deep bunkers and Bermuda rough, demanding an excellent touch with the medium and short irons. This is a course where accuracy, not length is the key factor.

Great pace because we were the only ones out there. Enjoyed every moment. Great scenery coming from an Orlando, Fl resident. Would return and play again soon.
Great Day on the Links
We had a wonderful day at the Port Royal Barony course. Check in was quick and we got out right on time. We never waited on a shot and finished in 3 1/2 hours. Fairways were in good shape and the greens were excellent.
Fun course to play!
Enjoyable!
Teed off at 815 a.m.(Early morning round). The course was very wet due to recent rains but nice to see that the greens were clean, cut, and the bunkers were raked. The round moved along nicely and we played in 3 hours and 45 minutes on a Saturday morning. This was a good value for the money and we will come back upon our next visit to the island.
Good value for the money
Haven’t played this course in years and we’ were pleased with the course. The course was very busy and the group in front of us finished two holes behind the group in front of them the ranger was on the course early and moved them along but we didn’t see him later in rhe day and the pace slowed considerably.
Everything was great!!! The only complaint is that the cart paths needed signage for which way to go.
Nice challenge
Very nice place. Getting started with three 18 hole courses and one starter seemed a bit stressful for him. Course was in very good condition with soft greens.
There were many hawks that did not seem to mind the golfers!
I’ll Be Back
What a great Saturday afternoon in the fall to golf in HHI. We played in 4 hours. The course was in great shape. The green was perfect. The clubhouse staff was great. As Arnold says “I’ll Be Back”.
Course is very playable
Would have given 5 stars if greens were a little faster. Course appears tighter than it actually is. Only one quirky hole. A lot of holes require carry over water.
