Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run

Nice course in pretty good condition, enjoyable experience.

Loved playing this course. Will definitely be back!

For the time of season the course was in great shape.

This is the 2nd time I've played Golden Bear. I generally don't like Nicklaus courses, as my take on them is that Jack expects one to be able to hit draws and fades to avoid trees and hazards that encroach on what would be "good" straight shots from the tee or fairway. This is true to some degree at Golden Bear, but only on a few holes. The fairways were the best of 7 different courses I played in February at HH, and the greens were fast and true. Unfortunately, the starter sends groups off every 8 minutes rather than 9+, so by the early afternoon there is a wait on most holes. The ranger did come out and moved things along a bit, but the round was close to 4.5 hours, by far the longest round of the 7 I played during my trip. The course conditions, the reasonable price, and the variation of holes outweigh the negatives. I will play it again...but will try for an earlier tee time in the hopes of a faster round.

The course played well. The starter has a handle on everything making for a highly enjoyable round. We played there three times in 2024.

They put out each group with too little time in between groups. We had to wait at each tee.

Waited for an email about receipt for payment and never got one.

Lovely golf course. Unfortunately our round was spoiled by 4 inebriants in front of us who were yelling and cavorting and most annoyingly playing their music so loud that it could be heard 400 yards away. Ranger not only refused to say anything to them but was rude to us. We quit after 11 holes . It’s very disappointing that a golf club that charges over a $100 allows such behavior.

I have never played this course and found it to be very playable. I am a senior golfer. Although the pace was a little slow the layout was “ friendly
