Friendly staff. Nice layout. Good conditions.

Clubhouse employees were professional and friendly. Practice area for full shots and putting green were adequate. Fairways, sand traps and greens on the course were all well maintained. Greens were true and quick. Sections of cart paths were recently repaired throughout the course. Great overall experience.

A lot of potential

I a resident of Hhi and have played GB many many times. The layout is great. Greens and fairways are usually in good shape. Traps are rarely maintained. There are rarely Marshalls to maintain pace of play. Locals are not respected for their loyalty. It could be the besy value on the island.

Good value choice on Hilton Head

Good course in decent condition for March, friendly staff. There are better courses on HH that are more expensive (or much more...) and others that are cheaper but not as well maintained. Golden Bear strikes just the right balance for me and my playing buddies.
