Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run

Fairways had been over seeded so it was cart path only. No problem except the rough was up and unforgiving so lots of time lost looking for balls that should be in plain site. Recommend the course cut down the rough to increase pace of play when cart path only, especially with times only 8 minutes apart. Without a Marshall, no incentive for slow foursomes to pick up the pace. Greens in great shape as were most fairways..Friendly staff at clubhouse but on your own once you begin play.

I probably would not have bought the round had I known it was Cart path only and you had to do a lot of walking.

We had booked a tee time as a resident because we own a timeshare on the Island, however when we got here and tried to check in he refused us, but did offer us a rate of $105 for cart path only because of overseeding. We thought that was too much for cart path only, so instead of getting $200 from us they chose to get nothing! I personally will never come back simply because of the way they treated us! We are all seniors and we felt we were treated like criminals! 👎👎🤬

Staff wasn’t friendly and when we arrived we realized it was path only due to over seeding of fairways. Pace of play was 5 hours and we skipped a hole.

Tee time was at 1:04. The starter informed us they were running 15 minutes behind. No problem. Since we were a twosome they put us with 2 others which is the norm. The first 9 was painful, but bearable since we had 4. 3 hours for the first 9. The other 2 gentlemen had to quit after 9 due to the pace and dinner reservations. After almost an hour to play 2 holes we picked up on 12 and headed back to the clubhouse. Rangers came by several times, never stopped, never spoke to us, and the pace never improved. 200 bucks wasted. Never again.

Fun course, had the place completely torn cells in the afternoon.

Front nine fairways were quite generous but a little tighter on the back. Greens were excellent - smooth and good speed

Quite a bit of water. Fortunately avoided the traps so can’t comment on the sand. Overall nice course, reasonably priced.

Really a nice place and we will be back. We did have some problems with the 4 some in front of us on the back 9. Their slow pace of play extend our round to over 5 hours. I feel like we should of had a course ranger engaging us as well as the "Pros" in front of us. Never once saw a ranger.

This course was not in great condition with bare ground in quite a few places where your ball could end up. The rough was entirely too long for the setup. A casual round course should not have pro-style rough that makes it impossible to find a ball off the fairway. The ball was completely unplayable in mulch under the trees, and there are a lot of trees. Spend more for a better course.

It's been a few since played here. Course condition have gone downhill, still nice course, needs help. First times for my friends, I apologized.

Great course, Country Club style with beautiful real estate throughout. Conditions were excellent however anyhow you are off fairway by a foot you will be frustrated looking for your ball. The 1st cut is annoying because the ruff at this course is soft and eats your ball. Slows down pace of play extremely, very annoying. If all shots are in the fairway your good.

Nice club house and facility. Good layout and condition

Great course for a casual round of golf. Greens are firm and fast. Course management is key for several holes, play smart and leave the driver in the bag for these. When this course was designed drives over 270 were rare.
