Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run

Very overpriced in my opinion. Half of what they charged would be overpriced. The fairways had just been cut and there were grass clippings everywhere. The tee boxes were in terrible condition. The greens were average at best. The staff was very friendly. I wouldn’t pay $50 to play this course and there are other courses in my area that I would rather play that are $32 to ride 18. I paid $260 for me and my son to play. There wasn’t anything special about the layout. Small man made lakes here and there. Very disappointing.

Having played Golden Bear for years, it was disappointing to see the course conditions. It seemed like the greenskeeper had given up on several holes. It looks like Management is not pumping any money into the course. Too bad.

Enjoyed playing this course. The layout and set up is good but the course is not in good shape. For amount of money paid I thought it would better. The tee boxes are horrible and there are a lot of fairways that need work.

We played today as a group of 4 and found the overall course condition to be very poor

The course was nice, however for $130 you can find better conditions and better staff and a better course on the island. Would not play again for over $100

The course was in great shape. Gold tees are the White for most courses.

First time in the area after 25 years. Course needs alot of TLC but the cost was accurate 67.00 a person w/cart. There is not much of a selection on their food menu?

Some of the holes fairways looked horrible and one tee box was basically hitting off sand/dirt. Greens did roll great but for $100 a round I was thinking the course would be a great shape all around. Talked to a local and he said noway the course should be over $50 for a round.

Played at 12:30 in the heat. Paid golfnow hot deal price and was par for the course. Would not be worth any higher price. Course had a few bogey fairways and tees. Needs a bit of attention. Staff was very friendly

The course is in wonderful shape and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We completed our round in 3 hours and 38 minutes and we were not rushed at all, the course played fast.

The fairways needs some work in many spots and the greens are over-sanded but overall, we could play quickly and quietly and the people were very nice.

Greens were just aerated so that made all putts a big challenge. Most if not all tee boxes were basically sand and very little grass. Arrived for a 7:30 tee time expecting coffee available for purchase but the snack bar didn’t open until 9:30. No drink or snack cart on the course. Bugs were horrific. Pace of play was good. Felt like I played the same hole layout about six times.

The staff was ridiculous about pushing for pace of play. Even when no one was behind us for two holes. We let two singles play thru. The staff kept saying pick up your pace. Even on a slow day, with several openings.

Course was burnt out from the summer heat.

quit after 9 holes, Fairwasy were absolutely horrible, no grass, tee boxes same thing. Greens weee ok to sub par. Pace of Play was horrible, no starter, no ranger, never saw a cart girl. too bad, this layout is a great course, I am sure if Jack Nicklaus saw the condition of this course , he would be horrified. very overrated price at 65 dollars for the horrible conditions. I will say the gentlemen in the pro shop was very friendly

Love the layout and greens. Houses lined the holes but not nearly as close as some courses. The course was just fun to play and would play again . Staff was awesome too. The fairways definitely need some love.

I played this course last November when I was in HH. It was really nice. It’s amazing how in 7 months this place turned into a cow pasture. I know the greens were recently punched but healed pretty nicely. However there is no excuse for the fairways and rough, horrible!!! Did they have a change in grounds keeping staff? Sure looks like it. Also, the staff was a bit on the rude side. Nothing like they were in November. I guess they may have made a change there. Overall, I would not recommend this course to anyone. Far better ones to play in Hilton Head.
