Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run

The course is very traditional, in good shape with very smooth greens. The staff is very helpful and responsive. Well worth the price this time of year,

Not my first time playing here. I really enjoy coming back when we're down in Hilton Head

I love Golden Bear. Great staff - Alan outside with the carts, Mike at the Bar, and the guys at the pro shop - all wonderful and I wish I knew more of their names. For such a high end course, I would love to see GPS screens in the carts.

Great layout. Love the course. Greens were in great shape. Fairways were coming along nicely. Landing areas were reasonable. Approach shots required some thinking. Overall a great day with my brother and best friend, Will be back!

Fantastic experience at The Golden Bear.

Greens were PERFECT. Fairways were PERFECT! (Except the few divots that weren’t filled; shame on the players not the course). A couple of tee boxes were beat up but they were all still flat and I’m sure once the weather turns, they’ll all be great.

Grass range, big putting green.

Not the most challenging layout but still had to plan your shots. We found a few fairway bunkers and a water hazard or two just to remind ourselves that golf is hard.

Friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. I was late for golf for the first time in my life but they made it ok. We could’ve hurried out to the tee and still just been a few minutes late, but Brian didn’t like that idea. He said “why don’t you take your time and warm up a bit and we’ll give you the tee time 4/5 slots later. Would that be ok?”

Gene, the starter, gave some good reminders that many golfers need to hear about firm greens, repairing ball marks and divots, and making sure we play the right tees so we can enjoy the course.

Full price seems a bit high but we found a hot deal that was more than worth it. I’d strongly recommend playing here and would again myself if ever in the area again

Good conditions greens and fairways. It’s pretty hard to get in a lot of trouble so I could enjoy the course.

Only issue was the pace was really slow due to a big group ahead of us.

One of the worst pace of play courses I’ve ever played. Course was absent of any rangers to monitor slow play. Saw the starter at the turn and interrupted his phone screen time and asked if anyone was patrolling the course for slow play.. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn’t do anything about it and went back to staring at his phone. No reason for this pace of play!

Course was fun to play, but my tee time was 2:32 and I didn’t get done until 7:10.

All of jacks courses that I have played are great. Challenging but keeping it fun. We had a great time and will return. Greens were amazing.
