Royal St. Augustine Golf and Country Club

I hate to say this but I only paid $10 and wouldn’t go back. Needs a lot of TLC.

I'm not sure what happened with this course, usually you don't see them this bad of shape. They are trying to reseed, but rains have washed everything out. Needs lots of time and some good reviews before i go back.

Would totally recommend this course despite a few tees requiring some repair

this course could be a gem if they would improve the greens. course really needs to rip them up and get them right. tee boxes are mostly crap as well. right now RSA is the only course in the city and it should be better. once St Johns comes back up attendance here will drop unless they make it right. otherwise I love the course and would be a member, tight fairways and radical bounces and all.

Course is in someways is in better shape than the last time I played there, which is several months ago. Some of the greens need some care. There are one or two tee boxes that have very little grass. Overall I had a great experience, personnel were very friendly and helpful.. Carts are in very good shape. Rain would be very beneficial. Will definitely come back.

I lost a good amount of balls out there cause of some narrow fairways. Most of the staff was rude except the bartender inside. Most of the greens had dead spots/sand, so a couple putts my ball jumped what seemed to be 2” off the ground. For the price it was decent, I’d only recommend the course because it was challenging.

I thought the course was fun but I don’t take golf that serious there I a lot of water and I thought the course was challenging enough staff was friendly we did move slow but it didn’t bother me it was a beautiful warm day .

The most current review, read prior to my booking, stated that the greens were awful and fairways were in poor shape. I believe that review was actually understated. Difficult to understand how management can charge green fees for what appeared to be a golf course cut out of a pasture..

We were in a three week golf vacation and expected lots of sand, water and hills! This course really delivered. You may not score low but you’ll be challenged and have fun!

I got one birdie and a few pars, lost 3 balls, so not my usual score but a lot of fun!

I would play it better next time.

This course is truly stretching the limits by being called a “golf course”. Absolute horrendous conditions, terrible layout, and almost no grass to speak of on the fairways. Greens were patchy and terrible for putting. They allowed a 5 some to tee off as a group in front of us that ruined of play until we all skipped a hole to get around them. No marshals or rangers to speak of. Absolute goat track of a course and terrible layout.

Course was good, some spots were soaked and had minimal grass. The layout is tight and fun. Cart girl came by once and never again, not really impressed with the staff besides the starter. Pace was alright.

Course was priced right for the condition it was on. Greens were were well paced and in good shape. Keep working on the condition of the course.
