Royal St. Augustine Golf and Country Club

Many of the greens are in very poor condition. Nothing but mud and crab grass. I will never play again. Sand trap in front first green was compacted mud with tractor tire treads all through it. Never raked.

1st time here. I was the only 1 in c/house but the guy sitting leaning against wall seemed annoyed I bothered him. No hi or thanks for choosing us. Easy to get lost. Holes run thru. n/hoods. Poor signage. Cart paths are pathetic. Uneven, broken, terrible bumps. Every other course I played had grass on greens. None here. Course was designed by Mark McCumber but he would be disappointed to see it now. The layout appears to be very nice. Fairways have moguls which are nice. #8 hole is really nice. I will not waste my money here. Would not recommend.With some work and care it could be the course you want to play everyday. Sorry Mark.

Fairways slope both to the woods or the water which makes you out of bounds not nice

Course in good condition considering it’s winter. Staff has always been nice. But pace of play today was very slow.

The front nine and back nine were like being on two different planets. Front was like they said here is some land and we can squeeze in a course. The back was a little more normal. All fairways were very normal and not very pleasing to the eye. Greens were fast except for the weeds that disrupted the ball roll. Don't spend over 30 for this course,

The course is challenging, and fun, but these greens need help,

Accurate driving is definitely a plus on this course. It's winter golf so I tried to overlook the dormant condition of the grass, however, other courses in the area incorporate overseeding to improve play. At this price, don't expect it, I didn't. The greens ran true and putting was one of the better parts of the course but they are beginning to get some bad patches of foreign grass that need to be treated. Again, at this price it wasn't too bad a condition. I play this course once a year on the way further south and will continue to do so.

Most challenging course I have played. Wouldn’t recommend it for a beginner. Tight, shot player’s course.

The staff was friendly, pace of play very good. Course condition so-so. Greens had been punched, should be told ahead of time. No restrooms on course, porta-potty☹️. The design/set-up just not our cup of tea. Really dislike "moguls" on courses where it's contrived. Just a personal thing. Course seems really crammed into a housing development.

The greens are rolling like a pool table - fairways are in decent shape as well as the tee boxes

The course was WAY OVERBOOKED- which made for an extremely slow pace of play - we had a group in front of us that really dragged their feet - could use a starter out on the course to make sure foursomes like this pick up their pace

5 and 1/2 hours for a round of golf is not good at all - ruins any momentum you gain with good shots

I just moved to Saint Augustine and have made my way to all of the public courses in the county. This is the worst course, hands down. It’s in disarray, poor carts, poor course conditions. I tried to pay with my credit card and the attendant in the pro shop asked if I had cash because the credit card machine doesn’t work sometimes and he has to manually put in the number. Probably will not ever return.

Jodees the bartender is very friendly! Highly recommend this course.

The course just changed management and is in flux. New carts are expected next week and ours was not in good shape. In fact, we had to wait until the court was available for us and we were there at 11 AM. The greens were slow. The course was not in great shape. And the pace of play was slow from the eighth hole on.
