About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Always a good round
One of better courses in east Orange County
Fairways better than average
Greens really good
Bunkers.......need sand but probably shouldn't be hitting into them anyway

Condition is better than other courses with much higher prices than Wedgefield. Love playing this course.
GETTING BACK TO WHAT IT USED TO BE
Been playing here since '85......this is where I learned to play....seen it in some really bad times
The changes on #9/18 tee boxes are a HUGE FACE LIFT and added joy......really good......just need to keep the pond cleared on 9 for a better view of where your ball lands
Overall.......course was in great shape
Restaurant missing is sad but they will figure it out
Can't wait to play again
Great value
Wedgefield seems to always be in pretty good shape. Layout is decent with some fairways tighter than others and some forgiving ones as well. Pace of play is fast weekday mornings but slows down a little on weekends. Great value when considering other courses.
Good shape, fun to play.
The course is in good shape, greens are rolling true, fairways are good, bunkers decent. For a value round this place can't be beat. There were a couple of guys hitting up on people, no apologies, waived them through so I could enjoy the golf.

Greens were fantastic
After over 40 years playing this course, the greens were fast and rolling true.. The owners are really doing great work.. I guess the cart paths are going to be extended.. very nice job.

Value for money
A most enjoyable round. Staff, extremely friendly. It is not the most organized course, but I do not think you will find a better value for money course in this area. I hadn’t played this course in 2025 and was not disappointed.
Course is in excellent shape. I would like to see them add some water stations on the course.
Really good condition
Some greens had sections they were trying repair. Just move your ball. Greens rolled great otherwise. Bunkers were a little wet and matted down, but playable. Everything else was wonderful. Happy to see the course in such good condition. One of the better deals in Orlando.
Greens were in great shape this time
Beautiful course just outside of Orlando earlier this year I had some issues with the greens, but after aerating them, they’re in really good condition. They are still working on them, but the centers are all the greens were nice.
