About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Good course, fairway aeration in progress.
Overall in good shape, greens are good, couple of rough spots. They are in the middle of aerating fairways, came as a surprise, no mention from Golfnow.
Good day fast moving made for a fun day to be golfing.
Good course
Greens are still very good but they are going to aireate them this week. Fairways and tee boxes are very hard due to the drought. This course is much better than many courses that charge 2x the price.
I played here several times a year
Yesterday the course is in great shape. The greens were basically perfect and the fairways were not far behind. It’s a big square box kind of course it’s not truly a residential so the holes are side-by-side. They tend to be pretty much straight and flat, but it’s it’s a good value for the money and certainly worth trying if you’ve never tried it before.
Good value
It has been months since I played there but was impressed with coursr. Overall, the course is in great shape. The greens and tee boxes are in best shape in years..Fairways need some work and crews were out maintaining the fairways. The only downside was the very fine crushed rock spread near the cart paths. At times ball landed in rock and took a free drop back in fairway. Will be back.
Course is in good condition
Tee boxes, fairways and greens in good condition. Staff very friendly. My only complaint is that they still have redone the sand traps which are in poor shape and they need to have rakes for the traps or on the carts
Great Course
great course, good shape, pace of play ok for a Sunday morning.
Greens left a bit to be desired. They were a bit furry and unpredictable.
Conditions are good and getting better.
Overall in good shape, fairways look good, some rough patches, greens are a little slow but a cut and roll will take care of that.
Greens are picture perfect
I would give this course 5 stars if they put sand in the 'sand' traps, but they have dirt. Other than that this course is in perfect condition.
Play if your in Orlando area
I was on vacation, looking for a place to play in Orlando area. Stumbled upon Wedgefield. Women in the pro shop said they have improved the course over the past few years. Didn't disappoint. Greens were in great shape. Course was a very playable layout. Would recommend.
Huge Greens!
This course is for beginners and intermediates , there are some challenging holes for intermediate to advanced level players to as well! Greens are great and will get better with the spring and summer. Staff is friendly and Golf Carts are in great condition. Pathways are much better than Metrowest and pace of play is great as well.
Beautifully maintained
Very happy with the course conditions. Priced decently and has ample driving range and putting/chipping area to get ready for the round.
