Wedgefield Golf Club
About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Greens
Here in Orlando working so I go golfing ever Sunday. Golfed 7 different courses so far and Wedgefield has had the best greens by far than any other, give them 9/10 only because they are not large.
Great little course!
Play here regularly
This course may be a little out there for some of you. It’s only about 25 minutes from my house. I play there about once a month ….people are friendly. The course is in excellent shape. It’s not exciting or really all that challenging but it’s a fun course to play if you haven’t ever tried it it’s worth checking out.
EXCELLENT SHAPE
Even though they were in the process of aerating the fairways, it was not a problem. Greens were gorgeous and rolling true. Always a fun course to play and always in great condition. If they can do it, why can't others? The only thing I would like to see is drinking water out on the course.
better than before
As the Title suggests...in overall good shape. Some rough edges here and there, drought hasn't helped. Still, glad I played it.
Greens are pure and the course overall is in great condition
The staff does a great job!!!!
Best bang for the $$$ in town.
Good Improvements
This course has made great improvements in the last 2 years.
Good value for your money and a good staff.
Only wish they had a 19th hole.
Aerated, recovering.
They have aerated, greens are slow and sandy, bumpy when putting. Overall getting better, they just need some rain like everyone else.
Good course, fairway aeration in progress.
Overall in good shape, greens are good, couple of rough spots. They are in the middle of aerating fairways, came as a surprise, no mention from Golfnow.
Good day fast moving made for a fun day to be golfing.
Good course
Greens are still very good but they are going to aireate them this week. Fairways and tee boxes are very hard due to the drought. This course is much better than many courses that charge 2x the price.
I played here several times a year
Yesterday the course is in great shape. The greens were basically perfect and the fairways were not far behind. It’s a big square box kind of course it’s not truly a residential so the holes are side-by-side. They tend to be pretty much straight and flat, but it’s it’s a good value for the money and certainly worth trying if you’ve never tried it before.
Good value
It has been months since I played there but was impressed with coursr. Overall, the course is in great shape. The greens and tee boxes are in best shape in years..Fairways need some work and crews were out maintaining the fairways. The only downside was the very fine crushed rock spread near the cart paths. At times ball landed in rock and took a free drop back in fairway. Will be back.
