Wedgefield Golf Club
About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Great Confirmation all around
Tee boxes level with plenty of grass. Fairways no weeds plenty of grass to hit off of. Greens are in great shape. Little slow due to rain but very nice overall. Bring a cooler no drinking water on course. Sweet little gem this course has turned into.
on the upswing
Course is in good shape, very playable. nothing fancy, straight up golf, better than before.
Still one of the best
All they need to do is redo the cart paths.
The newest owner has put a lot of time and resources in improvingp the course. The cart paths that are there get you around but sometimes it’s a little rough.
Other than that. All is good.
Thanks
Great course
This is a great, challenging course. You start right out the gate with a par 5. They allow you to bring your own cooler. They have a limited list of refreshments in the pro shop. They offer hotdogs and chips as well as beer and a assortment of beverages. I enjoy playing there because it never gets old. The pace of play is pretty good. The greens a well maintained. I have recommended this course to several people. The pro and con of it is it's location being in wedgefield, some won't travel that far out of Orlando to play which means generally it is never crowded.
Wedgefield, a gem to be discovered
Of all the courses I play with my fore some, Wedgefield has to be the best local course. The tee boxes were green and in great condition and the greens were like carpet. Even the terrain between T to Green were trimmed to provide a great player experience.
Only drawback was no restaurant or bar. Water and sport drinks available in Pro shop. Bring your own refreshments if you need something
Wedgefield is just 15 minutes east beyond 408 and east 50. Follow 520 to cocoa from SR 50 and about a mile on your right is Wedgefield.
Call in advance to confirm driving range and chipping area open.
Always fun and in great shape
Always a good time at wedgefield. Greens are in great shape and so is the rest of the course. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.
Wow! What a change!
About 20 years ago, I was a member here and the staff was great but it was an average course. About 10 years ago, I went back to find a course in very poor shape… below average. Yesterday, I pulled a GOLFNOW tee time and went back for what I figured would be below average round. WOW! Was I ever wrong! The current owner(s) should be proud of of the turn around here. Great fairways and beautiful greens… what nice course! I’ll be back again!!!
Course conditions good overrall. Greens a little slow but very lush. Parts of 12 and 15 fairways a little sparse.
Wedgefield improving!
Maintenance crews looked like a swarm of bees! Course continues to improve. Seems ownership has a total commitment to getting course to a 5 star rating! Keep up the good work.
