Judge for Yourself
I passed several times on playing this course because of the reviews then happened to drive by a couple of weeks ago and saw it from the road. It looked much better than I imagined based on the reviews so I finally got a chance to play it today and was pleasantly surprised.
Let’s get to it. The negative reviews are correct but are not showstoppers. Some, but not all, of the tee boxes are challenging to get a tee in but not enough to take away from the overall experience. It looks like the tee boxes were in bad shape and are being nursed back to health. They aren’t Pebble Beach but they aren’t unplayable either. The greens are slightly slower than normal but it’s nothing that would deter me from returning to play the course again.
Despite the above, next are the reasons why I’ll return. The course is a beautiful. The fairways were (mostly) plush. The rough could be tough to get out of. I don’t know what type of grass is used but I can see the remnants of a private course. The course is short (I think 6300 yards from the tips) and narrow with some doglegs and requirements to shape shots off the tee. Though short, it takes some thinking and the right club choice to get around. Ironically, the par 3s are all long. At least 190 yards but mostly over 200.
The staff is incredibly friendly. I didn’t use the range but I saw that it was irons only. When I returned, it looked like they were having some type of bonfire outside and some folks inside the clubhouse were having a ball.
Give the course a shot (no pun intended) and judge for yourself.
By the way, I added a picture I took while on one of the par 5s.
Faster round I ever played
Very fun, challenging and narrow course. Two par 3s over 220 yards! Blind drive hole 16 (I think) dog leg left was tough. Cool course, nice staff, and good food! Fun tunnel to drive through to holes 1 and 10.
Great Course
This course was amazing the greens were slightly wet and it seems like they are redoing the green on whole 3 so they moved it up about 25 yards. But besides that it was a great place to play and fun!
It’s a Hassle
Good luck putting in your tee in the ground because the ground is impossible to dig into. Weird course with unusual amount of homes and kids and people on the course. Unmaintained fairways and greens.
Mont
Yes this course does need work around the tee box as some were hard as a rock. This courses lay out was beautiful and challenging which made it quite enjoyable. I played this course for $46 for two people and a cart and I would definitely comeback again!
Good for the price and location
This is our go to course. The cart path is rough in spots and a few of the holes could use some work but overall it is a nice course for beginners and so on. It has plenty of shade to escape the heat
Course is not in good enough shape to charge over $25 bucks to play. Greens are terrible and one hole has temp green. Wouldn’t pay that amount to play this course ever.
Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed the course and had a quick round, and we hope to see you again soon!
