Oak Creek Golf Club
About
Oak Creek Golf Course in Irvine boasts a course designed by Tom Fazio, who has been hailed as the best modern-day course architect. The layout features tapered fairways and multi-tiered greens that roll perfectly. Several sparkling lakes dot the lush greens landscape as well as a few mature eucalyptus trees, though the course is mostly open. The bulk of the challenges of this golf course are comprised of the bull-nosed carved bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. Vivid vegetation accentuates the course and the city gets more than 300 days of sunshine a year, providing the perfect setting for a round. Oak Creek Golf Course is also popular for its practice facility, which includes 65 natural turf tees, a nine-acre all-terrain landing area, two putting greens, and a large practice bunker. It is one of the most popular practice facilities in southern California.

Good times roll
Course in great condition, starter was both helpful and friendly.Greens and fairways in excellent condition and I would recommend this track to any golfer who loves the game.
good condition and friendly staff
good course and centrally located. Greens are in good shape. A lot of unrepaired ball marks on the greens.
Nice course
Played on Memorial Day, and the play was slow. Course was in good condition, and the greens were tricky. Had a great time, except for the pace of play, which was slow.
I would love to play it again, as I ended up playing the front 9 twice, to avoid the back up on the back 9. Fun and challenging layout. A fair test of golf. Hit strong drives, use your head on the approaches, and you can certainally score on this course.
beautiful course
nice place, worth to spend half day to enjoy the green
Service
For the first time the service was extremely poor. No one came to get our clubs from the rack and when we brought them to the cart area, we were pointed to a cart to put our clubs on. Then the starter was nowhere to be found so we just made our way to the tee. There was no beverage service on the course. When we finished there was no one in the cart area thus no club cleaning or anyone to remove our clubs. We were in that area for over 10 minutes and never saw anyone.
Excellent layout. Loved the contoured fairways. Good variety.
Excellent course layout. Great variety. Greens were in fantastic shape and rolled very true. Great practice facilities. Only one par 5.
Chris Duddy
Oak Creek is a well maintained and designed course. It is a fun layout with many risk reward shot opportunities. It is also a very fair course. The only down side for me is that it is not a $175 course. Fair price in my mind would be under $100. That is why I played it through Golf Now it was $89.
Great value on the least played day of the year
Mother's Day. When you can get on Oak Creek for $79, it's a no brainer. The pace was excellent. We would have finished faster except getting hotdogs at the turn took way too long even though we called in our order before the 9th. The round would have also gone faster had we not hit so many errant shots. The greens were immaculate and the pin placements were challenging.
Very Good Course
The course was in very good conditions. The pace of play on the Saturday was really good. We did not have to wait on any holes. The greens were really fast; which is just how I like them. The fairways were in very good condition. I would play this course again. I paid $99 on GolfNow; but I would not pay the regular price of $175 to play here.
Good course
Overall an excellent course. Usually pace of play is not a problem. On this day for some reason we had to wait at each hole. I think this was just a rare instance.
Nice course in Irvine
This is a nice course that's kept in good condition. Greens had slope and various levels and made for interesting putts. You score here will depend on how well you play the par 3's; They're pretty long, even from the copper tees. It's a very fair layout and you can see where you want to hit for the most part. Recommended.
A must play!
A true golfer will really appreciate this course. Fairways and greens were in perfect condition, not to mention some technical holes that challenge any player. The Par 3's really make this course. No track homes or highways around, and each hole is its own.
LOVE THIS COURSE
FUN FAIR AND GREAT CHALLENGE FOR ALL AGES THE COURSE SET UP IS GREAT AND GIVES YOU ALL YOU WANT. GREENS ARE NOT EASY TO READ BUT THEY ROLL TRUE...READ LESS BREAK THAN THE EYE TELLS YOU.
Great Public Option
Not a lot of accessible golf in SoCal and Oak Creek was a great place to play. Well maintained, friendly resort-style course. Love the staff, the location and would definitely play here again. Not thrilled with the golf ball prices on the range.. ($20 for 100 balls seemed steep!)
Greens
Completely unacceptable that they didn't let us know the greens had been sanded for $130 a person. Outside of that it was a great round of golf.
Nice course, Great Staff.
Played here for the first time after a rain storm the night before. By our tee time the course had dried out and the sun was shining and the chance of further rain kept many off the course leaving us with a wide open eighteen holes of great golf, sunny skies, and fast greens. The staff were very friendly and the food tasty. A little on the pricey side but if you keep an eye out for discounted rates this makes the course a great special treat for us working stiffs.
Great Course but greens were just punched
If the greens hadn't been punched I would rate this as excellent but we knew that going in and got good value for what we paid.
really nice course but greens were a little slower than normal and a little bumpy
Really nice routing, played the back tees and the par threes were really long 3 over 207 yards. The greens have been better the Bermuda fairways were really nice and the ball rolled well. Green held well but the bunker sand or lack of recent sand churning made the bunkers a real sore spot with our group.
Nice course, a little overpriced
Nice course to walk, friendly staff. Greens were sanded, looked to have been 1-2 weeks prior, and they were running maybe an 8-ish on the stimpmeter. Overall decent condition, on par with Strawberry or Coyote, so I'm not sure where the price premium comes from. Generous fairways with well-placed bunkers. Water comes in to play on several holes in meaningful ways. Rough is non-existent.
My turkey sandwich was pretty dry, but they have complimentary water bottles in the cart coolers. Played on a Wednesday at 1:10 pm for $75 and had a good time, was able to finish with about 10 min left in the day after a 4.25 hr round. I came across a coyote chilling/cowering underneath a bush/tree thing while looking for a partner's ball. That was pretty cool.
