Oak Creek Golf Club
About
Oak Creek Golf Course in Irvine boasts a course designed by Tom Fazio, who has been hailed as the best modern-day course architect. The layout features tapered fairways and multi-tiered greens that roll perfectly. Several sparkling lakes dot the lush greens landscape as well as a few mature eucalyptus trees, though the course is mostly open. The bulk of the challenges of this golf course are comprised of the bull-nosed carved bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. Vivid vegetation accentuates the course and the city gets more than 300 days of sunshine a year, providing the perfect setting for a round. Oak Creek Golf Course is also popular for its practice facility, which includes 65 natural turf tees, a nine-acre all-terrain landing area, two putting greens, and a large practice bunker. It is one of the most popular practice facilities in southern California.

Great course, how great depends on the deal
Speaking as a snowbird on business travel, this was exactly what the doctor ordered for a February round. Yes, it's a little pricey, even as a hot deal ($80 is a steep discount, which is what I paid), but I find that once I'm out on the course, if I don't ever think of the price, then the price was worth it. If I'm out there on the sixth hole thinking "Wow, this was $80?" then I paid too much. But this place was beautiful, in perfect condition despite the drought in Cali (I know they use reclaimed water but still). My only complaint: some of the sand was WAAAAAY to hard, it was like playing out of the parking lot. Other than that, extremely fair and fun course with a lot of nice wildlife (got a picture of a coyote!).
The only other complaint: SEVENTEEN BUCKS for a bag of balls and a ball marker (coin only), and the little chipping area isn't officially included with your round, costs extra, but if you talk to the guy at the range, he'll tell you you can spend ten minutes or so up there. Still, for the price tag, I feel like you can spare a smaller bag of balls (do you really need 60 balls to warm up?) and unlimited use of the chipping / sand area.
Great Layout
Great course layout, friendly and accommodating staff, course needs water like most gc in the area but they are still managing to keep the course green and in great playing condition!
Great course
This is a great course . The fairways are forgiving and there are few obstacles. Good mix of long and short holes.
A very dry oak creek
Course very dry due to drought conditions. The greens were very slow and the fairways very dry with extremely tight lies.
The greens were chewed up with a number of ball marks still not cleared.
A different time of the year with more rain would make this a much better playing course.
the fabulous OC Course in Southern Cal!
It is a great rate for Sun. The course is awesom shape & want to play again already!!
This course has great features
Very nice and well maintained. Extremely challenged.
This was an interesting course to play
Course was open and very challenging. Plenty of slanted greens, that force you to position your shots.
Interesting but over rated
Pace of play was good and the greens were in good condition, but the fairways were dry. They were in worse condition than 2 other course we played that were a lot less expensive. We did see a coyote on the course.
Great golf course in city
My tee time was little late at afternoon
I been worry about may not able to finish play before getting dark.
My first time to play but staff member was very friendly.
We got there earlier but let us go out play
Wow, We enjoyed and finished 18 hole
With son light !!!
Great golf course !!!
I will go back to play any time
When I go visit to Orange County .
Only one thing I don't like it
Some membership cheating to our last 18 hole and girl was practice at tee box.
Please staff members watch for your membership peoples.
Thanks
Not the friendliest staff
When I tried to check in early I was told to come back later. When I did make it to the starter and wanted clarity if we were on deck he said " I am busy now" . Employees have an attitude !
The positive on the course is the greens are in great shape and provide a nice challenge. The negative a lot of the holes repeat, par 3 185, kidney green down hill, par 4 380 a little turn to the left. For what they charge I am amazed at how busy it is. I live a mile away but I prefer Tijeras.
Oak Creek
A Great afternoon of Golf at a class course with a great staff. This Irvine Company owned course is great.
Good condition on course
Part 3 holes are very attractive and challenged and course condition is good
excellent choice
the course is good, the reservation done conveniently
Special Golf Now rate was exceptional. Course is in very good condition.
I enjoyed playing although my level isn't a good match for this challenging course. I guess I could have played the silver tees...Would definitely recommend the course to most level players.
fun layout
nice course with a fair but challenging layout. The staff was pleasant. The course was in great shape but I don't think it is worth the posted green fee. Oh well, I guess that is south o.c. golf for you!
Fun course
Alittle over priced very good course fairways and greens were great I had a good time, this was my second time playing it was much harder the first time look forward to going back and shooting even lower
Good Course for Play
This is an Good course with business partners to play.
This course has great features
I like a Course.
I like good manner player.
I like a condition field.
tough but fun course
a great course even though a lot of the beauty is artificial it still works. it was a little dry but that is to be expected I hope to play it this winter/spring.
Great track - overseading tee boxes when I played, otherwise great conditions.
Enjoyed the course. Driving range and putting areas are great. Enjoyed lunch and cocktails after round.
