TennisReviews
The course conditions were very good. A couple of spotty greens, but pin location did not come into play. Fairways were in great shape.
Had not played here in about 9 years and heard conditions were spotty. Based on recent reviews we booked a time to play. We were extremely pleased with the course and value for the money. Planning on playing it again soon.
Really great shape for FL in the Summer
Really enjoyed the round at Erroll Estates. Very nice staff, course was in excellent condition and good amenities on the course, in the pro shop and restaurant. Thought the tee boxes for the ladies were a bit tough with not enough advantage to equalize a mans greater length off the tee. My wife didn't think it was fair to her, but she didn't have her best day, and I was just killing my driver. Very open, played the same ball for 18 holes, and can't say that all the time, but mowed rough made finding poor shots easy. Course has some homes on it but you would really have to hit a ball badly to bring them into play. The greens were just a touch slower than I like them but they rolled true enough. Bathrooms nicely spaced on the course and were not totally gross as some are. My wife appreciates the little things. Me too actually. Relativly new gas carts ran well and were in good shape, probably the right choice here as some good sized hills to go up and down. If you haven't played it you should absolutely try it. Now is a great time as this course is a great deal right now. It can be a bit pricey when the snow birds and fair weather golfers return.
Beautiful Course
This is actually one of my favorite courses now. It has a beautiful lay out that is in very nice condition. There was only two greens that had very little rough patches on the fringe. Other that that it would be pristine.
Fairways were in good shape course had some holes with elevation greens were okay. some of the holes looked very nice from the tee box.
the staff was very friendly. was able to hit a small bucket of balls with no extra charge. Fairways were in great shape. some of the holes were very sceneric from the tee box. I would recomend this course to a friend.
wide green, great design and wide fairways
Good course for the money. I will certainly go back for many more rounds
Great course
Course is in great shape! I love playing because there are never too many people out there so it's a fun quick round.
Great course with wide fairways and rolling hills.
A well maintained course that is fun to play with great views.
Course has great features with some challenging holes.
Course has great features with some challenging holes.
course was a challange, its a little weird going from lake to highlands course but enjoyed all the same
very beautiful course. they were working on the greens which were in bad shape but still had the rest of the course in great shape.
Very Scenic Layout
Played the course on an aerification special. The fairways were fabulous. Never had a bad lie(only on the scorecard...). The greens are still in recovery from aerification and some of the tee boxes could use re-seeding. Portions of a few greens were pretty rough. where it's essentially bare ground. Key word is 'portions'. 7, 8 & 10 come to mind. I always liked the layout of this course but I hadn't played it in the past 2 yrs or so because of the negative reviews that I've heard(and read). But it appears that the new mgmt. is obviously working on restoring the condition of the course to the way that I remembered it. They should keep the rates low until all the greens are back.
really nice, not overly challenging course
The course is pretty straight forward for the most part. Not a wholelot of hhazards that really get in your way. Very nice. Thoroughly enjoyed the course even though I was playing on arreated greens.
Greens are in tough shape.......need a lot of work.
Fairways good, bunkers well maintained, tee boxes good. Greens are in very rough condition and need attention. Suppose to aerate this week....hopefully this will work.
great course
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The course is in very good condition. The food in the restaurant was very good as well.
Exceptionally 'playable'
The course is in great shape - tees through greens; (better than we remembered it). While 'rough' still exists, it has been cleared to the extent where it is less intimidating. Multiple holes favor the 'lefty with a fade'. You can't go wrong adding this course to your short list.
Need a lot of Care! Little watering being done on fairways and greens are gone!
Not play again til they repair the course. A struggle to get a good lie for a second shot. Greens are just about mud and a little grass.
Looks like they are in financial trouble!
great course, played it many times
course is in great shape, greens little slow, but very nice to play.

On the Comeback Trail
This golfing experience caused me to think much more positively about Errol Estates than one year ago. For one thing, the staff was genuinely happy to see us. The greens and fairways are in much better shape and the golfing was fun and challenging. If this trend continues, Errol Estates will return as a regular stop in our rotation. The lawn and landscaping around the clubhouse still require more attention, but the priority must remain on the fairways and greens. It might be my imagination, but it appears that some of the cups on the greens have been in the same location for a few days......hmmmmmm..........
this course has too pool for fees
staff are not friendly, power cart too noisy to run ,green fees too high to play in Apopka area . need fees down to low and get more players enjoy club.... this year most of golf clubs fees down to low and lot of players in ....
.errol need new managerment .
Getting better, but still a ways to go....
The course is under new management and seems to be moving in a positive direction. While they previously had 3 9's, they've closed one down to play, reserving it for their golf academy. Course conditions were ok. Fairways and tee boxes very good. The greens were just ok. They really needed to be cut another 1/8 inch or so several were pretty bare and beat up. The practice green hadn't been cut at all, so it was virtually unusable. With our 9:15 tee time, we got off at 9:30. Not horrid, but a lack of a starter likely contributed to the late start. No drink cart on the course and the turn-shack was closed, so we were a bit parched by the end of the round.
Overall a playable track with a lot more elevation changes than you'll find in a lot of Central FL courses. Not terribly long, but you can get into some trouble off the tee if you get a little wayward. We'll give it another try, but won't necessarily be rushing out to do so in the hopes that conditions will have improved by the time we hit it again. Recommended, but with some reservations. There are a lot better courses for the same money in the Orlando market.
Its come a long way
Haven't played here in awhile - Greens were fast , I come back but maybe if price was a little lower. Not quite worth the price right now.
