Great fairways and greens
The only downside of playing was the pace of play on the front 9 was extremely slow, but the slow groups took lunch after the 9th and was able to breeze through the back 9. Greens all in great shape as well as the fairways.
Surprised
Lake 9 - unbelievably bad Tee boxes and fairways. Worst I've ever experienced. Greens OK to Good
Highland 9 - much better but still well below average. Greens good
Price - inexpensive for golf outrageous for a sandwich and coffee.
Staff - Nice and friendly
Very disappointing.
I scored well but.............not for me. Sorry.
D.
worth the drive
greens good condition, tee boxes need improving, fairways nice and hilly
Beautiful Day - Fun Golf Course!
I had played the course before, but my wife hadn't. We were with another couple. The girls had a great time.....some tough holes, but on the whole....we had a great time!
Good value at the price
Greens were good. Maintained fairways were good. Slightly off fairway would fine poor conditions. Bunkers raked.
Pleasantly surprised
Since it's inception, Errol has been one of my favorite layouts. The only question has been condition. This time the condition was acceptable. The greens which had been a problem in the past were good; not great but good. The fairways were good. Some of the tees were a little rough and there are plenty of weeds in the rough, but all in all no complaints; especially for a popular priced round.
Score Card Mistake
The scorecard is incorrect. Staff advised they are award and in the process of printing new ones. Other than that, a nice friendly place to play. Course is in very good conditions, staff is very friendly and accommodating!
grreat value
greens were smooth , well kept, fairways good,
bunkers soft and plenty sand,
Decent place
Greens were in decent shape. A few rough spots but overall they ran well. Tees and fairways are not the best, but they are playable. A good value for this time of the year.
Fun Course
The greens were good. the fairway and tee boxes were average. Sand bunkers were good and well maintained. The front and back nines are totally different. The front (Lake course) is more open with a few water hazards and the back (highlands course) is more tree lined and has a fair bit of elevation changes. The back is a little tougher than the front and overall a fun and challenging course to play. My group plays here 2 or 3 times a year an have noticed quite a bit of improvement from last year, epically the greens. I look forward to playing here again.
Nice course, good value...
The greens are fast, challenging and in very good shape. Course layout is pretty wide open. Some patchy areas around fairway edges and rough, but overall a great value. I'd definitely play here again.
Nice layout. Needs updating.
We play this course once a month and see some progress on the condition. However, the majority of the tee boxes are in rough shape and need help. Hard to find a flat spot and mostly sand with very little grass. That is the only complaint. We will be back.
nice layout
the course was aerated not grown back in yet. the look of the place was that it needs big money to bring it back to what it was once.
mature course
The course design was very delightful. Challenging holes but forgiving enough to accommodate your average weekend warrior. Lots of fun with hills and tree lined fairways. Tee boxes were a bit chewed up, but the fairways and greens were in good shape. If you havent played this course before and you can find a good deal...Give it a try!
A Rough Gem
Playing Errols Estates is a wonderful walk in the country. Certainly the course could be in better condition. But there is quite a bit of challenge out there, and it is so enjoyable to play quickly.
Consitently good at a great price
course is always in good to very good shape. greens are in decent shape and course layout is challenging yet fun. Food and drinks are good and if you play on sunday am the $10 brunch buffet with omellete station is a great deal.
A bit rought
I have played this course 4 times now, and it appears the course is becoming worse with every visit. The fairways were more dirt than grass covered. The tee boxes were pretty chewed up. The greens were okay. At risk of sounding overly critical, we were also very disappointed with the food service, which was shockingly slow despite ordering simple items, i.e., salads and soup. I took a couple friends with me and must admit I was a bit embarrassed by the experience.
Poor effort
Course was in horrible shape! Would not play it again for free
Disappointing
Had heard the new owner had hired superior maintenance crews, was making improvements and course condition was good. Saw no improvements and condition was not good. Florida courses must overseed rye in the winter - tees and greens at a minimum. - to compete. This was a mud bowl. Played 18 in under 3.5 hours because there was no one else playing. Will not go back at any price without walking course first. Too bad because this could be one of the better semiprivate tracks in the Orlando market.
