About
The 18-hole championship course at Don Shula's Golf Club is one of those courses that just seems to get better as you play your way around.
The first few holes are fairly open and not overly difficult. However, things start to get more difficult as you continue. By the time you make it to the 11th green, you'll know that you're in for a real dogfight. The fairways on the back get tight and there's water on just about every hole. All in all, it's a very enjoyable course from start to finish.
There are tennis courts, multiplex, fitness center etc. There’s something for everyone. The hotel's onsite amenities include upscale dining at the Original Shula's Steak House and casual dinning at the Bull Pen, which serves breakfast lunch and light dinner until 7pm.

We were impressed by the course conditions and the variety it offered from hole to hole.
Staff was not helpful, bordering on indifferent and bathrooms were poorly placed and in abysmal shape. Despite these issues we had an enjoyable round.

Good course and enjoyable day
Course and in particular greens were in very good shape. Fairways leave a bit to be desired with bare spots and sparse coverage in some areas. Tee boxes were not in very good condition nerving more attention and maintenance. It was an enjoyable day with no waiting when we played on Monday morning with a 9:16 tee off time.

Very enjoyable course.
After hearing great things I decided to play this course today. I was not disappointed when I arrived because the course looked very well manicured. All of the grass on the fairways was very nice, and all of the sand traps were well taken care of and just the right difficulty for getting out of. I really liked the layout, because it reminded me a lot of TPC HARDING Park in San Francisco, very green and old mature trees all over the place. It had a real classic style layout with very little elevation changes and a few target golf holes. The only thing that really prevents me from rating this a five star course where the greens. Now don’t get me wrong they were nice however they were unbelievably slow. After playing the last two days on very fast greens it was difficult to adjust to. Overall I had a very enjoyable time and definitely would come back. Sidenote, this would be a wonderful course to walk if you were allowed.

Terrible fairways
I’ve being playing this course for awhile now,and have decided it is way overrated. Greens are good but the fairways leaves a lot to be desired, there’s no reason to be in the middle of the fairway and your ball is on bare ground, same thing around the greens. It’s very frustrating when you barely miss the greens and there’s no grass under the ball. Other than that I wouldn’t mind playing this course.
This course has great features
This course is one of my favorite if not the favorite play in here in Miami. It's a beautiful course and very well maintained. And for its price its the best deal i believe out of all the courses I played in here in Miami. Try it! You will not regret it.

You can't beat this course for the money. 9 easy holes followed by 9 challenging ones.

Spectacular Greens
The front and back nines are vastly different. The front is forgiven and open. The back is tight and filled with penalizing water hazards.
The fairways are mostly okay but a bit patchy. The saving grace would be the greens. They are really wonderful. They are true and smooth. We loved them. It’s a great challenge and we will return!

Very good course to play locally
It's one of the very good courses in the area. The front 9 is more forgiven since it has less water; however, the back 9 has water in every hole. If accuracy if not one of your skills, you should bring extra balls. The course will find ways to bite you. Sand bunkers are very good with a lot of fluffy sands. Greens roll smoothly with plenty of elevation changes. Anyway, it's challenging and fun to play. Recommended!

Great Time
It was a cloudy day, but we had a great time. the staff was friendly and the course was fun. Fairways could use a little more upkeep, but otherwise a great experience
