Great golf course, worse starter system ever!
Love the golf course layout. Font 9 holes has lots of water and back 9 has very challenging green. Green is uneven but playable. However, they have the worse starter system ever. I usually get to the golf course an hour early so I can hit some ball and chipping and putting. When we got to the course this morning, starter will not load our club to the cart until 10 mins before our tee time. I don't even have a place to put down my coffee. There were a bunch of us just standing around the bag drop area. Nobody is going anywhere because the driving range is 500 yards away and the putting green is behind the club house that nobody can see. I hope the administration for this golf course see this and modify their system.
Tough greens and skinny fairways
Course was very challenging. Keep it in the fairways and the greens will still challenge you.
Very nice course
The course was in good condition, other than a soggy spot in a few fare ways I played as casual water. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
I recommend this course.
Overplayed and abused.
Carts are in rough shape. Greens are even worse. Course gets too much play and not enough love.
Don’t miss this one!
Absolutely loved this course. Not an easy one but so worth it. Beautifully laid out and everyone was wonderful from the bag drop to the restaurant. Showed up early and they fit us in. Only complaint was the two groups of three in front of us so we didn’t get to play the last three holes which were totally open. Come on guys.
good challenging course
Course not in best condition, needs some upkeep attention
Mark this one down
Absolutely stunning Course. Lot of up and downs but that was not a bad thing just a challenging one
Terrible service from start to finish
This was the worst experience at a golf club we’ve ever had. We booked a last minute deal through Golf Now and were so excited to check it out. We came down to golf from Michigan for our wedding anniversary. From the Proshop when we checked in the golf pro was rude when we simply asked if they had any ball markers. Then the snack shop girls told us we could get a 6 pack of beer because the carts had coolers in them. We get to our “assigned” golf cart and it’s the only one without a cooler: when we asked for a new cart or even just a cooler we were told no, even though there 20 carts not being used with coolers in them. The starter who we gave our ticket too at the bag drop was really rude. We asked him if he needed our ticket and we pulled it out to show him and he said…”I can see the ticket - what does it say? Then we tried to make a good time for ourselves after all the rude employees we encountered so far. We played a nice first 9 holes and we finished in under 2 hours. When we made the turn, there was a large group waiting to play together and they knew they were not good. They offered for our 3-some to play through and the starter told us no. We than waited 20 minutes on every hole in the back 9, and couldn’t even finish the round. From start to finish, this was the worst experience at a golf club we’ve ever had and will continue to provide bad reviews and tell people to never waste there money at a place that treats people so poorly. It seems because we got a “deal” on our tee time price we were not treated the same as anyone else there.
greens ???
legends is a quality destination. fairways would be excellent if people knew what the bottles of sand were for. Moorlands has plenty of moguls and some hidden sand traps; the only negative thing about this facility is the greens. they appear mottled with different types of grass and some putts are not true. Its the type of course when you were playing it for the first time you are thinking that you would play that hole differently next time.
Meh
The greens were sanded over which is ok this time of year but the greens themselves were in awful shape. They appeared to be diseased with patchy spots all over them. Not good for a resort course, the carts were in very poor shape for both rounds I played so not a once off
Rain during play - can’t give a true Eval
T-storms in the area day of play. Hit hole number 3 and the skies open up. Next several holes had standing water tee to green. By the time we made the turn the standing water was clearing.
I believe this would be a fun track in optimal conditions. A 250 yard Par 3 and 280ish Par 4 - why not!!
Club house is great with reasonable pricing and good food.
My 20 year says dad next year we should book the legends for our next golf outing
