Man O' War Golf Course

First of all i want to say something. I’v been playing for 40 years and i sincerly think that every golf course should copy what this organisation did for us and seems to do for all there clients. Its simple but essential ; MAKING YOUR CUSTOMERS FEEL IMPORTANT.

I called the day before, and i had the privilege to speak to the pro, Steve Frismoth (i hope i get his name right). I told Mr Fismoth that we would pass the next day going back to Canada from Florida and would love to play the course but we had to bring our dog with us… Yes you read that, and he said yes so fast i coudnt believe it. He just decided to welcome us and believe me when i told him our dog was educated wich it is… I bought 2 hats, and he gave us a 10% discount on each, and we had a lunch included with our tee off. He even came to see us on the golf course to see the dog and bring another had cause my eif had a change of mind…

Making your customers feel important… By far the best golf experience a had in my 40 years golfing.

He is just a GREAT HUMAN BEING.

condition is good and 14-18 hole are very challenging

Down here for the weekend to play golf this was first course we played. Directly next to airport we hopped out of plane and were on the first tee in 20 minutes. Beautiful layout perfect fairways and greens.

Course was I great condition except for the trees they were in process removing. I believe it will be better when they are finished but they could have reduced the cost due to noise and debris, I did not want to get sap on my hands to look for the ball in the branches.

Great course with an excellent layout and a ton of water!! The course conditions were on point but the range needs some work.

Nothing like rolling up to an 11:56 tee time to find you’re the 4th group in line waiting. But this is normal for this course. I have played this course at least 25 times in the past and it’s always the same thing. Double book times and you get to pay for it with your own personal time. It’s a shame because the layout is decent and it’s long from the whites which makes it challenging. They’re not the only violators in this area. Legends is notorious for double booking as well. But people notice and stop going which is what is happening with Man O War. Won’t be coming back again unless I have 6 hours to spare for golf.

This course was challenging but beautiful. It was longer than I usually play so I will be ready this year when we re-visit!

Booked a 130 tee time for 2 people after time change that is about 4 to 4.5 hours until dark. They had tee times stacked up sending groups off both sides. We had a group of 6 three groups ahead of us. They had nobody in front of them most of the round. We talked to the employee that came around about making them split up or pick up the pace and he said they allowed groups of 5 and 6. We were told a cart girl was on the course and would come around but she must have been invisible because we never saw her. We were unable to finish our round because we ran out of daylight. Had to stop at hole 14. We booked this course to play holes 14 and 15 island greens and didn’t get to do that.

Course great shape got $10 off in pro shop and lunch included.

Fun course. Enjoyed the layout of the course and greens were in good condition, wish players would fix their divots and rake the bunkers out of respect for others and the course.

Course is in spectacular condition. Staff very friendly would 100% go back again.

Loved the layout. Fairways were wide and it was easy to avoid the water. Conditions were very good and, considering the amount of rain they received the 2 days prior, the course was not very wet. Only complaint was the pace of play. There was a fivesome, yes a fivesome, two groups in front of my twosome and there was a threesome in front of us. We caught the threesome on hole 5 and had to wait on every shot the rest of the round. We played the front in 1.5 hours and the back in 2.5 hours, which is unacceptable in my book. The fivesome made no attempt at letting the threesome (or us) play thru and there weren't any Rangers policing pace of play. Highly unlikely I will go back due to pace of play, which is sad since I really liked the course.

Played this course with our normal golf trip foursome and all loved this course. Conditions were excellent, staff was friendly and great layout. A lot of water but more for scenario than true trouble until the closing holes on the back. 5 stars and would have conditions up there with any course we have played in Myrtle. Great rate, lunch and 2 beers included and can bring your own cooler.
