Parkland was the last course of the 3 that we played at Legends this week. Course was in good shape for the holes we played. Only played 9 holes as it took approximately 3 hours for that, as 3 groups on every hole. We stopped after 9 and went to range for an hour and got more out of that than hitting a golf ball every 8 minutes waiting on people.
Great Course. Staff needs be nicer to there guest.
Parkland is excellent and great layout course. Cart staff were very rude along with not acknowledging on instructions on what to do. The restaurant looked nice but after waiting 25 mins without any help, had to depart to off site restaurant. Would play here again . Have pack lunch next time.
Disappointed
Great course, great shape, poor pace of play. Rangers served cold water but didn’t try to improve pace of play 5 hours and 20 minutes.
Disappointed
The greens were recently aerated. The fairways are in excellent condition. The pace of play was intolerable. The Rangers served water due to the extreme heat, but didn’t improve the pace of play. It took five hours and 20 minutes to play this round of golf. It was like torture. I would think twice about picking this course in the future.
Over priced
Course was charging full price for air greens or heavily sanded it should not have been full pricr
Mother Nature's Revenge
As my 12:44 Tee Time approached the clouds opened up and let loose a Biblical down pour. Thus my heightened anticipation of playing this course was washed out. I received an 18 month valid rain check however. Since I live close to Myrtle Beach, I'm not inconvenienced with this option. If not, I would surely feel very inconvenienced.
Wouldnt recommend
The course was so slow. 3 groups on every hole. It came a huge storm. No alarm, when we got back tit he club house. They wouldn’t give us a rain check for 9 holes even tho we had only finished 10 holes
Enjoyable round
The course was in great shape. It is a challenging layout, but playable for all levels. Greens were lightning fast, but the 30 mph - 40 mph winds may have made them somewhat faster than normal. Price was fair for that area. I played better and worst in the same price range. I would say it is a little above average for the price.
Great Track
I thought the golf course was great. i didn't like that they wouldn't give me my cart until 10 minutes before my time. i had to walk fairly far to the driving range and back, then to the putting green and back. The starter on the first tee gave me a hard time because i said my time was 12:52 i think. It was actually 12:48 but i didn't have it memorized. He said there is no 12:52. I was like, i don't know what to tell you, is there a time near that with my name in it? he seemed confused and confrontational. other than that, I loved the course and will likely return.
Hurry up and wait
Awful rangers rush you on the first nine with nobody behind you only to run into a logjam at the turn because they double tee. $110+ in May is laughable.
Canuck Thumbs Up
Parkland was the last course we played and for the mid-tier price, by far the best for this time of year. Other courses we played below or slightly below the Parkland greens fees were in very rough condition (uncut tee blocks, sandy greens, unkept bunkers), but Parkland had all that covered. Overall very happy with the value.
cart path only
This is a hige three course complex, with a hige parking lot requiring three bag drop areas, with enpugh staff to unload bags. There is a nice practice area driving range to warm up before play. The weather caused a carr path only day, however the parkland was mot as budy as the others so good pace of play.
